Popular fashion designer Prathyusha Garimella was found dead in the bathroom of her Banjara Hills residence in Hyderabad, Telangana on Saturday (June 11) under suspicious circumstances. A bottle of carbon monoxide has been recovered from her flat; the police are suspecting suicide.
The Circle Inspector of Banjara Hills said that she was found lying in the bathroom and that her dead body was shifted to Osmania hospital for Periodic Medical Inspection. Also a case has been registered in Banjara Hills under provisions related to a suspicious death and a further probe will be carried out, as confirmed by the inspector.

The watchman told the police that Prathyusha had come to the boutique on Saturday morning and when she did not come out till afternoon, he went to check on her. As she did not respond to repeated knocks on the door, he alerted the neighbours, who informed the police, as per IANS.
The police later found a suicide note in which Prathyusha reportedly wrote that she was fed up with her lonely life, saying that this was not the life she was aspiring for. The fashion designer wrote she did not want to be a burden on her parents and that she was sorry for taking the extreme step.

Prathyusha Garimella was a celebrity fashion designer. She used to run a designer store in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills area, where almost all the celebrities of Telangana reside. Her fashion label was named Prathyusha Garimella. According to reports, her clientele included actors from several film industries, including Bollywood and Tollywood.
She came from a well-to-do family. Her father owns an LED-manufacturing company. She had worked in her father’s company after studying in the United Kingdom. After she realised she wasn’t cut-out for the job, she entered the fashion industry.
