Preparations begin in full glow for Holi celebrations in Mathura

The country is in full swing of preparations for the festival of colours, Holi, which is soon coming. In Braj, Mathura, Holi showers can be seen in the days leading up to and following the holiday. A Gopal Jayanti festival will take place at the Ramanreti Ashram in Mahavan, the fabled playground of Lord Krishna, for a number of days.

Yogi to attend Lathmar

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, is expected at the Lathmar Holi celebration on February 28 in Mathura. The district administration and police force have been put on high alert in advance of the CM’s visit.

There are six zones and 14 sectors in the security plan. In order to prevent any disruption with the Holi celebrations, 2,750 security men have been deployed.

Holi celebration in Agra

In Agra as well, Holi preparations have started. The Covid pandemic had an influence on Holi celebrations in the city, but Vishal Sharma, secretary of the Agra Tourist industry Welfare Chamber, told India Today that the joy is evident this time. He urged people to assist the administration fully so that Holi celebrations will be enjoyable.

Agra Range IG Nachiketa Jha visited Mathura, Barsana, Vrindavan, and other sites to issue directions to SSP Mathura Shailesh Pandey so that no untoward occurrence occurs on Lathmar Holi in Barsana (Mathura). The latter claims that 2,765 more police PAC employees have been deployed for security purposes.
