Ram Sena activists brutally thrashed the principal after entering a government school in Gadag, Karnataka. The state education department has ordered an inquiry into the matter. According to the information, the principal distributed books on the Prophet free of cost to the children of the school. After this an essay competition was also organized. A reward of Rs 5000 was also announced to the winner.
According to the information received, Abdul Hanif Bijapura, the headmaster of a government school in Nagvi taluk had distributed free books about Prophet Muhammad titled ‘Mohammed(s) Yellarigi’ (Mohammed for all). Then also announced a prize money of Rs 5,000 for the children who excelled in the essay competition.
On the other hand, Ram Sena activists accused the teacher of trying to push the students towards Islam. He alleged that the students were forced to learn about Muhammad. On the other hand, the District Education Officer warned the headmaster and assured the workers of strict action.
