Wrestlers Protest: In order to "avoid wrong messaging," Bajrang Punia urged khap leaders and farmers' organisations not to hold multiple Mahapanchayats on Sunday. He also predicted that the wrestlers would soon hold their own meeting to decide how to proceed with their protest against former wrestling federation president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Protesting Wrestlers and Activists Convene in Sonepat for Crucial Meeting
The bronze medalist from the Tokyo Olympics met with Rajya Sabha MP Jayant Chaudhary of the Rashtriya Lok Dal, Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad, Gurnam Singh Charuni of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, Chaudhary Surender Solanki of the Palam 360 khap, and a few BKU representatives. The gathering took place in the Sonepat, Haryana, village of Mundlana. "We'll call a panchayat of athletes. The panchayat's date and location, in which all khaps, farmer unions, and other activists will participate, will be decided by us. To decide all of these issues, we require three to four days. Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik were extremely depressed following the Delhi event, and their family members are caring for them. They were not mentally prepared to attend this meeting, and their families were worried about them, according to Punia.

Khap Leaders Push for Justice and Accountability in Wrestlers' Case
The farmer and khap leaders met on Sunday for the third time in a week to talk about the problems facing the wrestlers. On Friday, the khaps gave the government till June 9 to arrest Brij Bhushan, who is accused of sexual harassment by at least seven female wrestlers, including a minor, and decided on Thursday to send a delegation of 5-7 people to President Droupadi Murmu. The dismissal of all accusations brought against the wrestlers has also been urged by the khaps. "Our fundamental demands are unchanged. Non-negotiable is Singh's arrest," according to Solanki. It was Punia's first public appearance following the high drama on Tuesday in Haridwar, where he, bronze medalist from the 2016 Rio Games Sakshi Malik, and bronze medalist from the last two World Championships Vinesh Phogat were convinced not to immerse their medals in the Ganga. In support of the wrestlers, villagers from the Palam 360 khap observed a fast in Delhi's Katwaria Sarai from 10 am to 5 pm. On Saturday, Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, attacked the federal administration. Although the wrestlers are demonstrating in Delhi, it appears that the government is unconcerned with their suffering. In accordance with the Supreme Court's instructions, two FIRs were filed. Speaking in Pali to a crowd of onlookers, he stated, "In Rajasthan, we have made it mandatory to register a FIR (on complaints of sexual harassment or abuse).
