Wrestlers Protest: In order to “avoid wrong messaging,” Bajrang Punia urged khap leaders and farmers’ organisations not to hold multiple Mahapanchayats on Sunday. Khap Leaders Push for Justice and Accountability in Wrestlers’ Case

The farmer and khap leaders met on Sunday for the third time in a week to talk about the problems facing the wrestlers. On Friday, the khaps gave the government till June 9 to arrest Brij Bhushan, who is accused of sexual harassment by at least seven female wrestlers, including a minor, and decided on Thursday to send a delegation of 5-7 people to President Droupadi Murmu. The dismissal of all accusations brought against the wrestlers has also been urged by the khaps. “Our fundamental demands are unchanged. Non-negotiable is Singh’s arrest,” according to Solanki.
