Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh will chair an all-party meeting today to find an impasse to the farmers' agitation against three agriculture related laws. The meeting has specifically been called to discuss the recent developments that took place following the Republic Day violence. The meeting will be conducted at Punjab Bhawan at 11 am.

The chief minister had called for the meeting on Sunday, urging all the leaders of the different political outfits to keep their distances aside and come under the same umbrella to find a solution for Punjab farmers who are allegedly being harassed by Delhi police.

Singh also took to Twitter on Monday to inform that the Punjab Government has arranged 70 lawyers in Delhi to ensure quick legal recourse to farmers who have been booked by the Delhi police for their alleged connection to violence that took place on January 26 in the National Capital.

"Punjab Government has already arranged a team of 70 lawyers in Delhi to ensure quick legal recourse to farmers booked by the Delhi police. I will personally take up the issue of missing farmers with MHA & ensure these persons reach home safely. For assistance call 112," Singh said on Twitter.

"Our hearts are with those fighting for their rights at the Delhi borders," said the Chief Minister, appealing to the people of Punjab to immediately dial 112 to report any case of a person missing during the tractor rally.

He further added, "We will do everything possible to locate those who are missing. We are trying to get details and will ensure that they return to their homes".

Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) will be represented by a three-people committee formed by Sukhbir Singh Badal.

"Farmers are out on the streets putting their lives at stake. Lakhs of farmers have lost their lives and the Centre is not talking about it, not doing justice. If farmers can sit for days in the open and protest in this bitter cold, can the Prime Minister not go there and meet them. Can his ministers not visit the farmers, talk to them and make a decision?" Badal said on Monday.
