The Punjab government has lifted the weekend and night curfew. Also, a maximum of 100 people have been allowed to gather in the house and a maximum of 200 people outside. In addition, bars, gyms, cinema halls, restaurants, spas will reopen with staff and visitors who have each received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the information, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday ordered the lifting of the weekend and night curfew after the state's Covid positivity rate fell to 0.4 percent. Also, from Monday, 100 people have been allowed to assemble inside the house and 200 outside. At the same time, DGP Dinkar Gupta was instructed to challan all political leaders who violated the Covid rules during rallies and protest meetings.

The Chief Minister also ordered the opening of bars, cinema halls, restaurants, spas, swimming pools, gyms, malls, sports complexes, museums, zoos etc. However, for this it has been made mandatory for all personnel, members and visitors to take at least one dose of the vaccine.

Schools in Punjab will remain closed for now. Colleges, coaching centers and all other institutions of higher education will be allowed to be opened by the Deputy Commissioner. For this, all teaching, non-teaching staff and students will have to submit a certificate that they have received at least one dose of the vaccine at least two weeks ago.
