According to recent Railway updates, they issued a new regulation governing passenger tickets. You can cancel the ticket right now quickly and easily. You can now cancel your ticket simply going to the railway website or app. The ability to cancel train tickets through email is now offered by the railways. In a tweet, Indian Railways provided comprehensive details regarding this facility.
Railway’s big decision
From its official Twitter account, the railway said that customers can now email the railways to cancel their tickets. Actually, a customer had already tweeted the Railways complaining that he had purchased the ticket using Tatkal. But he had to select a different mode of transportation because the train had been cancelled. The traveller claims that he had the opportunity to purchase the ticket, but even after doing so, he has not yet gotten his refund. The railway responded to this.
Cancellation will be based on train status.
The railway responded to this tweet by writing, “If the passengers are unable to cancel the ticket on their own, the passenger may also email the railway from his registered email address at [email protected].” The ticket may be cancelled. Following this, the Railways stated in a subsequent tweet that it had cancelled the train due to operational concerns. The train can be restored at any time, according to the railways.
