Survey for phase II land acquisition likely in two weeks of Noida Airport

The survey for the second phase of land acquisition for the Noida International Airport (NIA) is likely to begin in two weeks. Officials gave this information.

He informed that at present the construction work is going on under the first phase of Greenfield airport at Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar and the Uttar Pradesh government has recently given green signal for land acquisition for the second phase.

NIA plans to build on an area of ​​1,365 hectares under the second phase

An official said the NIA plans to build on an area of ​​1,365 hectares under the second phase, of which about 1,185 hectares is owned by private people, including farmers from six villages—Ranhera, Kureb, Dayanatpur, Karauli Bangar, Mundra and Birampur .

The acquisition of this land is being done under the ‘Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency’ provision of the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

In next two weeks, the survey is expected to start

Additional District Magistrate (Land Acquisition) Balram Singh told, “The consent of the landowners has already been taken, after which the proposal for land acquisition was sent to the government.” The proposal has been ACCEPTED. Now in the next two weeks, the survey is expected to start in six villages for measurement of individual properties, for which the compensation will be distributed.

Singh said, “We have sought additional manpower for the detailed survey work. This time no external private agency is being involved in the survey for property valuation.

Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a subsidiary of Swiss company Zurich Airport International AG (JAIA), is building the NIA for the Uttar Pradesh government. JAIA has secured a 40-year concession contract to design, build and operate this public-private airport.
