The Hampi-based Hanumad Trust, a private trust, plans to build the tallest Hanuman Statue in Karnataka. The announcement was made by Swami Govind Anand Saraswati who is the president of Hanumad Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya
The statue will be 215 meters high and will cost Rs 1200 crore. Pampapur Kishkindhawhich is in the Bellary district of Karnataka is said to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman.
Swami Govind Saraswati stated that the Trust will take out a nationwide Rath Yatra to collect donations for the statue.
