The All Indian Democratic Woman’s Association (WADA) has affialiated to the CPI-M, will conduct a Padayatra (foot march) from Dindigul to Chennai their January meet with Chief Minister M.K Stalin over growing attacks on women and children in the state.
AIDWA leader Balabharthi said on Friday the sexual assault and attack on women and children are rising and officials are having a ignorance attitude in such cases.
She said that in 187 cases, the accused were either on bail or had gone scot-free.
The former legislature also pointed out the example of a 12-year-old girl who died under mysterious circumstances at Pachalur near Kodaikanal and said that the police are yet to arrest the culprits.
