Union Minsiter for Education Dharmendra Pradhan launches online training programme on AI

World Youth Skills Day 2023:The Ministry for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) along with National Council of Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), along tech platform Guvi and IIT Madras has launched a free online training programme on Artificial Intelligence. The online training programme has been started to mark the World Youth Skills Day and also commemorates the 8th year since SkillIndia was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India. The programme was launched in the presence of Union Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan.

The AI programme

This programme has been made by Guvi in 9 Indian languages. The Ministry has further ebcouraged Guvi to include all major Indian languages to remove the language barrier for learning. The launch is a further testament of government to work towards promoting ‘Yuva Shakti’ espeially in rural regions of the country.

The initiative provide new opportunities for youth by learning to use AI and will further promote innovations at a smaller scale.

IIT Madras offer bachelors course

At the event Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has also launched a four-year online Bachelor of Science (BS) course in Electronic Systems of IIT Madras. The move will provide easier access to higher and quality education for youth. The opportunities to provide youth with knowledge, skill and latest jobs will also be immense.

“More institutions will come up with such programmes for realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Vikasit Bharat’.” the union minister said.
