Bihar is going to open a new phase in its railway connectivity as a new rail rack – the Vande Bharat Express – will be launched in Patna and will operate on the Patna-Gorakhpur route soon. Such a high-speed train should take only seven hours to travel, according to Patrika, which is a significant improvement over the current travel arrangements in the region.
The launch of this Vande Bharat route is an extension of the mission of the Indian Railways to enhance regional connectivity through modern, semi-high-speed trains that focus on speed, comfort, and efficiency.
Route, Speed, and Features
The Patna-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express is likely to extend through big stations such as Hajipur, Siwan, Chhapra, and Deoria, along with some of the rail traffic hot spots in North Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The train will have the most modern facilities, such as comfortable recliner chairs, sudden closing doors, Wi-Fi, GPS-based passenger information display, and bio-vacuum toilets.
It will only take approximately 7 hours to travel between Patna and Gorakhpur; this is much better than the current express trains, which take 10-12 hours. The speed of operation will be as high as 130 km/h, keeping fast and secure routes for the Vande Bharat.
Boost to Regional Travel and Economy
The new route should be of advantage to thousands of passengers who take the journey daily, particularly the businessmen, students, and tourists who frequently travel between the states of Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. It is also regarded as an economic stimulus to the region since it will enable the free flow of people to major educational and commercial centres.
The Vande Bharat Express is the embodiment of rail modernization in India in the Make in India project, with its native design, production, and engineering aiding it to achieve world-class proportions.
What Comes Next?
Trial runs will be run by it, and the official launch date is to come soon after essential safety and technical inspections. As the company intends to introduce more such routes in India, the Vande Bharat network is fast growing to connect Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities with metros.
With Bihar coming into this high-speed rail revolution, commuters are waiting anxiously to see the comfort and convenience that the train is bound to bring.
