Warm Welcome for Finance Minister; Nirmala Sitharaman’s Two-Day Odisha Visit

Nirmala Sitharaman, the minister of corporate affairs and finance for the union, arrived in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday evening on a two-day trip to Odisha. Senior BJP leaders and officials gave the Finance Minister a warm welcome as soon as she landed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA). Sitharaman then went straight to the state capital’s BJP headquarters, where she attended a “Shradhanjali Sabha” in honour of the recently deceased first mayor of Cuttack, Nibedita Pradhan.

Remembering a Leader’s Legacy

Aparajita Sarangi Tweeted, “I love to see her presenting her case – so forcefully- in the Lok Sabha. My Inspiration ! My Motivator ! Welcoming Madam @nsitharaman in Bhubaneswar tonight.” Dharmendra Pradhan, the union minister for education and skill development, was also present. Both Union Ministers remembered the late leader’s services to many areas and gave the late leader a heartfelt tribute. Sitharaman will travel to Puri after the function at the BJP state headquarters. On Thursday morning, she would go to the Shree Jagannath Temple to see the sister deities. On Thursday, the ministers of finance and education are expected to attend a series of events in Puri and Bhubaneswar. They are about to embark on a day that embodies the phrase “Meri Maati Mera Desh,” demonstrating their commitment to the history and development of our country. The activities during the day include:

Artistry, Heritage, and Civic Dedication

The renowned artist Sudarshan Patnaik will display sand sculptures on “Meri Maati Mera Desh” for the two Ministers. The acclaimed artist will produce fascinating sand sculptures that will depict the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” theme’s captivating beauty. The Union Ministers will subsequently participate in a plantation drive and the solemn Panch Pran Pledge, which are being held in the tranquil surroundings of the Shri Sadashiva Campus, Near Penthakata residence hall of the Central Sanskrit University in Puri. After visiting the distinguished Saheed Jayee Rajguru’s birthplace in Biraharekrushnapur, Puri, they will honour the legacy of freedom by starting the symbolic Amrit Kalash Yatra. Following that, the Ministers will go to Bhubaneswar to attend a book launch event. The publication of books in the Kuwi and Desia languages will help knowledge spread between linguistic barriers. The day will come to a close in the evening when dignitaries officially kick off the 20th National CA Conference in Bhubaneswar, promoting knowledge sharing and career advancement. The value of conserving our legacy, staying connected to our motherland, and cultivating a sense of obligation to the environment and our country will be highlighted by this important day.
