Weather Update April 8 2026: Yellow Alert To Bring Rain And Hailstorm Havoc For Rajasthan Cities! Delhi NCR And Haryana Likely To Receive Moderate Showers

Weather Update April 8 2026: Yellow alert has been issued for Sawai Madhopur, Hanumangarh, Barmer, Churu, Karauli, Dholpur, Sikar, Bundi, Bhilwara, Tonk, Bhilwara and Jhunjhunu. These areas may witness lightning and moderate rain accompanied by strong winds and hailstorms.

Weather Update April 8 2026: The India Meteorological Department has predicted that Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan are likely to receive moderate rainfall throughout the day.

Rajasthan cities are likely to stay influenced with moderate to heavy rainfall. Alerts for rainfall, hailstorms and strong winds have been issued for Bharatpur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Kota and Bikaner. Shekhawati is likely to witness 20-55mm of rainfall with violent thunderstorms and hailstorms.  

Yellow alert has been issued for Sawai Madhopur, Hanumangarh, Barmer, Churu, Karauli, Dholpur, Sikar, Bundi, Bhilwara, Tonk, Bhilwara and Jhunjhunu. These areas may witness lightning and moderate rain accompanied by strong winds and hailstorms.

Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Delhi are likely to witness a sudden drop in temperatures and a significant improvement in air quality. A yellow alert has been issued for Delhi NCR for April 8. This is primarily due to two western disturbances that are likely to prevail in quick succession affecting northwest India.

Several parts in Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh may also experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by hailstorms. Ratlam, Dewas, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Vidisha, Indore, Rewa, Satna, Chhindwara, Shivpuri and Ujjain may experience a sudden dip in the maximum temperatures throughout the day.

Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir And Himachal Pradesh Weather Update

Rudrapur, Kashipur, Mussoorie, Dehradun, Solan, Kullu, Una, Nahan, Kangra, Palampur, Kulgam, Poonch, Rajouri, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Srinagar and Kupwara may experience bone-chilling weather conditions along with moderate to heavy rainfall.
