Weather Update: Chennai and Bengaluru to receive heavy rainfall; Check the forecast for your state

Weather Update: For the upcoming few days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall advisory for a number of India's southern and eastern regions. The Southwest monsoon is quite expected to continue to recede from some additional areas of Maharashtra over the following few days, according to IMD's most recent weather prediction.

Additionally, the meteorological office has expected rain through October 23 for a number of southern states. Up till October 25, there is anticipated to be a lot of rain in Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal. Over the next two days, there may be sporadic light snowfall or rain in the Western Himalayan area.

Meanwhile, most of northwest and central India is forecast to see dry weather.

Delhi

In the national capital region, the weather is expected to remain clear until Diwali. The sky will be clear with no chance of rain happening today. However, the citizens might experience fog in the early morning.

Mumbai

As per the latest weather update, the city and its suburbs will not recieve any rain for a few days more. However, for a couple of days, the sky will remain partly cloudy, after which, a clear weather is forecast.

Chennai

Heavy rains are predicted for the city for today. Their will be heavy rain spells for the complete day with thunderstorms and the sky will remain cloudy. The same pattern in weather is predicted to continue for a couple of days more.

Which state to receive rainfall today?

Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Andaman & Nicobar Islands are predicted to receive heavy rainfall today. Meanwhile, isolated rains or snow are likely over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Also, isolated rainfall with thunderstorms is likely expected in Odisha, Uttarakhand, Konkan-Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and Telangana.
