Weather Update: Clear skies across central India; Sitrang to drizzle Arunachal Pradesh

Weather Update: The majority of northwest and central India will see dry weather as the southwest monsoon has entirely withdrawn from the country. On Wednesday and Thursday, a remnant of the cyclonic storm Sitrang may bring isolated to scattered rainfall to Arunachal Pradesh and the nearby states of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, and Tripura.

Ladakh may have isolated rain or snowfall until Thursday, October 27. Due to a depression, rainfall on the Southern Peninsula may rise as the weekend progresses.

Delhi

The national capital region will continue to have dry weather, while, the sky is also predicted to be clear. There are no chances of rain happening today, however, smoky or foggy mornings have continued to start.

Mumbai

Much like the NCR, Mumbai will have the weather on same course as well. The sky will be clear and weather will continue to be shiny and bright with no chance of rain happening.

Chennai

As per the latest weather update, the city and its suburbs will have a clear weather with very less chances of rain happening today. The turnaround in the weather will, however, begin from Thursday.

Which state will receive rainfall?

Over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected.

In northern and western India, the air quality is predicted to be “very poor,” while it will be “poor” in the country’s centre, east, and south.

Snowfall is probable in the higher elevations of northern Arunachal Pradesh due to the possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms over the state.
