Weather Update: Delhi and Mumbai experiences calmness; School & Colleges closed in Tamil Nadu due to heavy rains

Weather Update: With the arrival of November, the weather has been changing nationwide. States in south India are still experiencing the rain while a slight drop in temperature is being observed in Delhi. On the other hand, some hilly states are also experiencing snowfall. A low pressure area is developing over the Bay of South-West Bengal close to the Sri Lankan coast, according to information provided by the Meteorological Department.

The IMD has predicted that rains are likely at some places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, and the next 24 hours are most prone to heavy rain. In addition, Lakshadweep, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand may experience rain mixed with light snow. The temperature may fall in these areas after the rains in the final days of November, increasing the likelihood of a winters.

Delhi

The national capital region is likely to have misty weather. As per the latest weather update, the sky will remain generally clear with sunshine all day long. Also, there are no chances of rain happening today. The maximum temperature will be 28 degrees while the minimum will be 16 degrees.

Mumbai

The city and its suburbs will be having a clear weather. The IMD has also predicted that the weather is most likely to remain similar for a few days. The maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will reach 24 degrees.

Chennai

Due to the change in climate conditions, Chennai will experience heavy rains with thunderstorms. The same is likely to continue for three-four days more. There will be continous rain in the city. The temperature of the city will range between 27 to 26 degrees.

Which state to experience rainfall today?

North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will experience fairly widespread rains along with thunderstorms. Scattered showers will hit Andaman & Nicobar Islands, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, and Lakshadweep, with heavy rainfall possible over Kerala and Mahe.

Meanwhile, isolated rains is predicted over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Coastal Karnataka. Dense fog is likely possible over North and Central India in the morning.
