Weather Update: As everyone is aware, over the past few months, a number of areas in northern India have been experiencing a terrible heatwave. Temperatures have risen beyond 45 degrees Celsius, and while some of these locations have received rains, the oppressive heat has not abated. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), it has been predicted that thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rainfall can occur in Mumbai. The national capital region has been placed under an Orange Alert by the IMD due to the high temperature in Delhi. According to the IMD, Delhi-NCR's temperature will probably soon reach 47 degrees Celsius.

According to the IMD, West Bengal and Sikkim will likely see isolated areas of heavy to extremely high rainfall. There have been isolated areas of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in Assam, Meghalaya and Karnataka. There have also been isolated areas of high rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Goa and Telangana. There is a good chance of heat waves with severe heat waves in several areas of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. A few locations in Uttarakhand are experiencing heat wave conditions. However other locations are experiencing heat wave conditions in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha.
