Weather Update: After a wet start in the country during the start of the month, the nation is now gearing up for the summers. The heatwave has already started to show its impact in several states with temperature soaring over 35 degrees. In the latest update, the temperature has been predicetd to breach the 40-degree celsius mark in Bihar & West Bengal today.

Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu have been predicted to have a surge in the temperatures from this week itself. Earlier, IMD had predicted an average monsoon and a prolonged dry spell across the country this year. The heatwave is likely to get intense with the weekend in above mentioned states. Delhi

As per the latest weather update, Delhi will be partly cloudy during the morning hours and will remain sunny and clear during the entire day. For today, the maximum temperature will be 37 degrees and minimum will be 23 degrees.

Mumbai

Similar conditions are projected for the city and its suburbs. The day will begin with partly overcast conditions and will then turn sunny and warmer in the noon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees and minimum will be 28 degrees.

Chennai

IMD predicts Chennai to be clear and warmer today. No change in weather trends has been anticipated for the rest of the week. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 34 degrees and minimum will be 26 degrees.

Kolkata

As per the latest weather update, the maximum temperature in Kolkata will be 41 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees. The day will be warmer and remain sunny. Rest of the week is also likely to remain in the range of above-40 degree temperature.
