Weather Update for Republic Day 2023: It's predicted that the capital's Republic Day weather won't be as miserable as first anticipated. There is a chance that the rain will hold off and the cold won't be strong enough to be a hindrance. Despite the absence of any large clouds that would cast a shadow on the sky, a little breeze will undoubtedly provide a touch of winter. It will be a typical foggy morning with patches of shallow fog to start the day, which cleared later to enable an exciting view of the parade.

Will rains hinder Republic Day 2023?

The forecast predicts that the rain will come to an end in the early hours of January 26th, and the weather is expected to remain clear for the rest of the day, even after the grand celebrations on the 'Kartavya Path'. Fear about the weather ruining the parade and the celebrations will be put on hold because it is unlikely to happen for the fifth Republic Day in a row.

On January 26, 2021, the minimum temperature reached 2.1 degrees, making it the coldest Republic Day ever recorded. This was nearly 5 degrees below the average temperature for that day. The previous record for the minimum temperature going highest on Republic Day was 13.6 degrees, recorded on January 26, 2017 and 13.2 degrees on January 26, 2009.

What will be the temperature on Republic Day 2023?

The forecast for the upcoming Republic Day is for a low of 10 to 11 degrees, with a possible high in the low 20s later in the day. Additionally, occasional rains are expected on January 28 and January 29.

People will witness the procession from the comfort of their homes on January 26 at 10 a.m. thanks to live broadcasts on news channels and radio stations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and other prominent figures will stroll along the Kartavya Path on January 26.
