Weather Update: Heavy Rain struck Delhi and isolated parts of Mumbai yesterday. Various parts of NCR were heavily waterlogged after the heavy rainfall. More than 20 cm of rainfall is stuck in Gujarat and Goa.
Due to heavy rainfall, a landslide was reported in Uttrakhand's Chamoli district. Twenty-six incidents of tree falls were reported in Mumbai, with two people dying because of the bad weather.
IMD has issued red and orange alerts in 25 states all over India. The citizens are told to pay caution and leave home only when it is necessary.
Weather Update: Delhi
The rain might stop today in Delhi for a while after the city faced rain non-stop yesterday. The city also saw the season's lowest temperature ever, and the trend will continue today as well, with the lowest temperature going down to 26 degrees. IMD has issued an orange alert in isolated areas of the city.
Mumbai
The monsoon has stuck Mumbai hard, with IMD predicting intense rainfall till the end of the week. IMD also states that the rainfall will gradually decrease on a daily basis but has called the citizens to pay caution. For today the temperature will be 28 degrees to 27 degrees.
Chennai
Once again, many schools were closed because of heavy rainfall, and trains were also affected. The trend will continue for a few more days as IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in the area. Today's temperature will be between 34 degrees and 28 degrees.
Kolkata
Kolkata will face cloudy weather, with the citizens getting relief from the constant rain. The sky will remain cloudy, and the chance of rainfall is not zero. The temperature will be between 34 degrees to 28 degrees.
