Weather Update: The main organisation in charge of meteorological observations, weather forecasts, etc. is the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Thus, it forecasts the occurrence of cyclones, thunderstorms, and other natural calamities and assists us by providing the essential information in a timely manner. Many people often consult weather forecasts to choose their outfits for the day. Heavy rain, snow, and wind chill significantly reduce outdoor activities; therefore, one can use forecasts to plan activities around these phenomena, as well as to prepare for and weather them.
Heavy rainfall in these states
IMD forecasted strong rains for multiple states through October 26th as a result of Cyclone Hamoon. IMD predicts that Mizoram and Tripura will see significant rainfall until October 26. The meteorological department issued a significant rainfall forecast for Manipur and Nagaland through October 26. IMD forecasted significant rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh for October 25 and 26.
