Weather Update: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several regions in India, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, northeastern and central India, as well as the eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by occasional intense rain, thunderstorms, and lightning over the next five days.

Over the next five days, significant precipitation is anticipated in South Indian states including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh (Coastal), Telangana, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, with heavy to very heavy rainfall expected. Additionally, regions in Northeast India such as Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya will also experience substantial rainfall. As per the IMD, the temperatures in various parts of the country during this time are expected to be below or near normal, primarily due to the occurrence of rainfall in several areas. The likelihood of heatwave conditions prevailing during this period is very minimal.

Delhi

Delhi is predicted to be lashed by moderate rainfall along with some thunderstorms during the morning and early noon. However, from afternoon, the sky will remain partly overcast and the condition will remain mostly pleasant. The maximum temperature will be 28 degrees while the minimum temperature will be 21 degrees.

Mumbai

IMD has forecast that Mumbai and its suburbs will have partly overcast conditions in the morning. However, a sunny and clear day is projected from thereon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees while the minimum temperature will be 27 degrees.

Chennai

Chennai will have a pleasant start in the day, but, from noon there will be scattered thunderstorms and rainfall across the city. Humidity will also remain at 83%. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 32 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.

Kolkata

Heavy rains are on the cards for Kolkata today as well. Humidity will remain at 81% while the weather will remain mostly cloudy. The maximum temperature will be 34 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 26 degrees.
