Weather Update: The Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that the western Himalayan region may experience a period of rain and snowfall today. Meanwhile, North-West India may have light to moderate rainfall. Aside from this, rain is possible in the upcoming days in the northeastern states. Along with this, rain is likely on Cards in Delhi, Lucknow, Ranchi and it's nearby areas in Central India. Many places may also experience hail. There is a yellow alert in place for this. Delhi, the nation's capital, might have some light rain today as well. Hail is predicted to fall in several parts of Bihar, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh, according to the Meteorological Department. In 17 districts of Punjab, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert. In Haryana's Karnal, Rohtak, Panchkula, Sonipat, Ambala, Jhajjar, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Jind, Panipat, and Jhajjar, an orange signal for strong winds and a hailstorm has been issued.

According to IMD, there is a high likelihood of isolated areas of heavy rainfall and snowfall in Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland. Thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds (40–50 kmph), and hailstorm are likely to be present in isolated locations over Gangetic West Bengal; Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura; East Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh are among the regions that may see isolated lightning storms. The Western Himalayan Region is expected to be affected by a new Western Disturbance starting on February 24, 2024. Isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall or snowfall is anticipated to occur over the region on February 24–27, 2024.
