Weather Update: IMD warns for light Rainfall in Delhi, thunderstorms in isolated areas

Weather Update: According to the Indian Meteorological Department’s most recent forecast, conditions are improving for the Southwest Monsoon to leave areas of Northwest India and Kutch over the next two days. Due to anti-cyclonic flow across northwest India at lower tropospheric levels, West Rajasthan, Punjab, and adjacent portions of Haryana are quite likely to see dry weather during the next five days.

Over the following four days, severe downpours are forecast for numerous states, with some areas also expecting thunderstorms and lightning.

Delhi

The weather at the Capital will be pleasing today. There will be cloud generally on the sky with minimal sunlight. Meanwhile, one or tow places can also experience light rain or drizzle.

Uttar Pradesh

East UP and some parts of West UP can experience rain/thundershower today. However, the department has warned for lightning and severe thunderstorms at the isolated places of the state.

North-India

Light rainfalls with with cloudy weather is expected in the states of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and Chandigarh.

Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Northeast India

Odisha’s isolated areas are likely to see heavy rainfall today while heavy rainfalls with thunderstorms is also predicted for states in Northeast such as Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Nagaland.

Andhra Pradesh

For coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, thunderstorms and lightning with winds of speed 30-40 kmph are forecasted today.
