Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted substantial rainfall across various regions of the nation until August 17. From August 14 to August 17, parts of Uttarakhand are anticipated to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall, including extremely intense showers. Due to heavy rainfall, Schools have been closed in Himachal Pradesh. Additionally, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall occurring at isolated locations in Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, western Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, as well as sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Likewise, parts of Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand are likely to experience significant rainfall on August 16 and August 17. The meteorological department has also projected subdued rainfall activity across portions of northwest, central, west, and south India over the upcoming seven days. Furthermore, the weather office has indicated the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in various regions of India until August 17.

Delhi

The national capital is predicted to remain mostly cloudy for the day. Light showers are also likely in the region in patches. The weather conditions will approve from the night. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 73%.

Mumbai

IMD has predicted no change in weather conditions for the city and its suburbs. Light showers and partial cloud cover will continue in the region. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity remaining at 81%.

Chennai

As per the latest update, Chennai will have a partial cloudy sky in the morning but will get intense from the evening. No rainfall is projected in the city. For today, the maximum temperature will be 35 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity remaining at 79%.

Kolkata

Moderate rainfall, thunderstorms will continue in Kolkata as relief is unlikely in the region for the complete week. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees while the minimum will be 28 degrees with humidity remaining at 82%.
