Weather update: Light to moderate rainfall in northwest, cyclonic circulation in Rajasthan, Haryana

Weather update: Light to moderate rainfall has been predicted over several parts of the country over the coming week. As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), rainfall with thunderstorms can hover in the western Himalayan Region and east India on Saturday. In the northwest India, a fresh spell of rain and thunderstorm is predicted don April 3 and 4. 

In Jammu and Kashmir, a cyclonic circulation may take place, as per the IMD. A cyclonic circulation also lies over northeast Rajasthan adjoining Haryana.

“Normal to above-normal rainfall is expected over most parts of the northwest, central and peninsula India, Below normal rainfall is likely over east and northeast India and some areas over the west coast of India,” IMD said.

Delhi

The national capital may see light rain showers on Sunday. Some isolated regions will also witness  hailstorms. The sky will be clear with improved AQI. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 30 degrees and minimum will be 19 degrees.

Mumbai

Mumbai will remain sunny throughout the day. The sky will be clear and the city won’t be affected by the rain in the other parts of the country. Minimum temperature will be 15 degrees, while the maximum will shoot up to 30 degrees.

Chennai

IMD has predicted light rain showers in Chennai today. However, for the most day, the weather will remain pleasant. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.

Kolkata

The latest forecast suggests a cloudy day for Kolkata. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 32 degrees and minimum will be 23 degrees.
