Weather Update March 8 2026: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for the states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
It was also predicted that several parts in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Uttarakhand along with Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall.

Maximum temperatures may rise by 2-4 degree celcius in several parts of Hisar, Thanesar, Kaithal, Rewari, Palwal, Hansi, Jind, Karnal, Narwana, Safidon, Samalkha, Radaur, Barwala and Charkhi Dadri.

Bhiwani, Sirsa, Bahadurgarh, Narnaul, Fatehabad, Gohana, Tohana, Gurgaon, Panipat, Yamunanagar and Rohtak are also likely to witness the same weather conditions.
Uttar Pradesh Weather Update
Several regions in Moradabad, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Rampur, Bareilly, Kushinagar, Maharajganj and Siddharth Nagar may experience little to moderate rainfall. Similar weather conditions are likely to be witnessed in parts of Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Meerut, Bijnor, Amroha and Gonda.

Rampur, Jubbal, Rohru, Theog, Arki, Sarkaghat, Nadaun, Barsar, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Dharamshala and Mandi are likely to witness thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds.
Kasauli, Dalhousie, Manali, Keylong, Reckong Peo, Solan, Palampur, Baddi, Nahan, Sundarnagar, Chamba, Kullu and Una could witness rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds.
Madhya Pradesh Weather Update
Ujjain, Sagar, Dewas, Satna, Ratlam, Neemuch, Shivpuri, Hoshangabad, Itarsi, Sehore, Betul and Seoni could see a hike in maximum temperatures by 2 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal. Damoh, Morena, Rewa, Guna, Bhind, Khargone, Jabalpur and Gwalior may witness the same weather conditions though early morning hours’ conditions are likely to stay pleasant.
Rajasthan Weather Update
Hindaun, Sujangarh, Balotra, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Beawar, Dausa, Tonk, Hanumangarh, Churu, Bundi and Kishangarh along with Baran, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur, Chittorgarh, Dholpur and Jhunjhunu may experience severe heat conditions.
