Weather Update: No relief! Heavy rains alert issued for THESE states until 12th October, Must Check

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts heavy rainfall in various regions of India until October 12, followed by widespread light to moderate rain in South Peninsular and Northeast India.

Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall in various regions of North East, East, South, and North West India until October 12. In the national capital, Delhi, the weather office has predicted a partly cloudy sky with light drizzles on October 10. According to the Meteorological Department, Tamil Nadu may experience sporadic heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning until October 11. Heavy rain is also expected in South Interior Karnataka until October 10 and in Kerala until October 12. There won’t be any significant weather events in the central and western regions of India over the next four days.

Following October 12, fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall across portions of South Peninsular India, Northeast India, and islands for a span of two days is anticipated. The IMD has also projected scattered rain in certain areas of eastern India, with dry weather prevailing in other parts of the country during this period.

Heavy rain could hit isolated areas in South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe. Fairly widespread rainfall and thunderstorms are anticipated in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, southern Karnataka, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Isolated to scattered showers accompanied by thunderstorms are possible in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, and Lakshadweep. Isolated to scattered snow or rain, along with thunderstorms, are expected in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Sikkim.

Delhi

Tuesday is also predicted to remain mostly cloudy in the national capital. There are chances of drizzles as well with the weather, overall, remaining pleasant. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 23 degrees with the humidity at 76%.

Mumbai

As per the latest weather update, Mumbai has been forecast to remain mostly sunny. There are minimal chances of partial cloudiness, with the city remaining mostly clear. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with the humidity at 61%.

Chennai

Chennai will experience a mostly cloudy morning and noon. However, the weather will turn somewhat clear in the afternoon. There are no chances of drizzles. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with the humidity at 72%.

Kolkata

IMD has predicted Kolkata to remain mostly sunny. However, there will be patches of clouds from the afternoon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 35 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with the humidity at 65%.
