Patna News: The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, often referred to as the cricketing extravaganza, has commenced, with India as the host nation this time around. To ensure that fans don’t miss any of the action, special provisions have been put in place for live screenings of the ICC World Cup 2023 matches in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Patna Smart City Limited (PSCL) has installed large screens at various locations in the city, providing cricket enthusiasts the opportunity to watch the matches on a grand scale.

Screening at fifteen locations across Patna

Fifteen prominent screens have been strategically placed across the capital city of Patna, offering live broadcasts of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The inaugural match between England and New Zealand was also showcased on these screens, generating tremendous enthusiasm among cricket enthusiasts who are eagerly enjoying the matches on Variable Messaging Display (VMD) boards installed by Patna Smart City Limited (PSCL).

In a first for Patna, cricket matches are being showed on Variable Messaging Display (VMD), following the previous live telecast of Chandrayaan-3’s landing. These substantial screens have been set up at 15 different locations across the capital city. Cricket enthusiasts can relish the matches on the grand screen at these designated spots, and the best part is that there is no fee for this experience.

Where to watch ICC World Cup 2023 in Patna?

These Variable Messaging Display (VMD) screens can be found at various key locations across Patna, including JP Golambar near Rupaspur Road Over Bridge, Kargil Chowk, Gate No. 1 of Patna Zoo, near Divisional Commissioner’s Office, Patel Golambar, AIIMS-Patna, Income Tax Square, Atal Path Golambar, Digha Golambar, and Danapur. Additionally, VMDs have been installed for the purpose of showcasing Cricket World Cup matches at the Railway Station, Guru Gobind Singh Road, Boring Road intersection, New Secretariat, Lohia Chakra Road, and Kankarbagh main road.

The Variable Messaging Display (VMD) system is being managed through the Integrated Command and Control Centre. VMD serves as a valuable tool for spreading information, promoting government initiatives, and conveying social messages.
