Weather Update: Over the next few days, there is a good chance that several Indian states could see significant rain. A low-pressure region is anticipated to develop over the southeast and adjacent east-central Bay of Bengal over the next few hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

This low-pressure area is forecast to proceed west-northwestward as well. By Saturday morning, it will concentrate over the central Bay of Bengal into a depression, which is forecast to strengthen into a cyclonic storm later on.

In the meantime, circumstances are quite likely to improve and allow for further Southwest monsoon withdrawal from some further areas of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Jharkhand, some interior parts of Odisha, and the entirety of West Bengal during the course of the next 24 hours.

Delhi

The sky will remain clear in the national capital region with minimal to no chances of rainfall happening today. However, as per the last forecast, weather will become more cold-ish by the weekend and will continue to do so in the upcoming weeks.

Mumbai

Adding relief, IMD said in their latest weather update that Mumbai and its suburbs will receive isolated rainfall for today while the sky will remain cloudy. Due to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms from past few days, there has been severe waterlogging and chilly weather.

Chennai

Much like Mumbai, Chennai is also predicted to receive scattered rainfall with thunderstorms. The sky will remain partially cloudy, while, from tomorrow onwards the city will receive heavy rainfall.
