Weather Update: On Karwa Chauth, North India to remain clear; Heavy rains to impact Mumbai

Weather Update: In the upcoming days, several Indian states are expected to experience heavy rainfall. A heavy rainstorm is expected to continue over Tamil Nadu for the next five days as well as over interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema for the next two days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

However, the national capital region is likely to remain dry with a warmer weather than comparision to last few days. As the nation is also celebrating Karwa Chauth today, many people would like to know if the moon will be visible in their region at time or not.

Delhi

The national capital region will remain clear for today with significant sunlight over the day. There are no chances of rain happening today in the NCR region. The sky is expected to be clear, so it will be easier for married women to see the moon.

Mumbai

The weather is expected to remain cloudy today, and there are significant chances of heavy rainfall in the city and it suburbs. This weather trend is likely to continue in the city and its suburbs for a few days more.

Chennai

The weather in Chennai, will be as similar as in Mumbai. The sky will remain generally cloudy and the city will experience drizzles, while, isolated areas have chances of thunderstorms with lightning.

North India

States in Northern India including Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh are likely to recieve isolated rainfall.

East India

Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Bihar are predicted to recieve scattered showers and thunderstorms.

South India

Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu are predicted to recieve fairly widespread rains with thunderstorms in the latest weather update.
