Weather Update: According to Regional Meteorological Department, heavy rain is anticipated to continue in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. In the state, where there have been floods in over 1,300 villages across 18 districts, six people have succumbed in rain-related events. Whereas in Delhi, unseasonal rain in the month of October has broken the record of 66 years. In October 2022, Delhi has received the highest rainfall since 1956.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, offered his sympathies for the loss of life and instructed officials to give the relief money to the relatives of the victims. Additionally, he gave directions on how to send personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), and police department to work in flood-affected areas to provide aid and rescue.
Delhi
As per the latest weather update, Delhi will remain dry now for a week or more. However, the skies are likely to remain cloudy for a day or two for a brief period of time.
Mumbai
Monsoon is likely to withdraw from October 16th from the city. Resultantly, heavy rainfall with thunderstorms is likely to happpen today in the city and its suburbs.
Chennai
The sky will remain generally clear today. However, isolated areas can experience a few showers today, providing the much relief to the city from the nonstop rains that took place earlier.
Uttar Pradesh
Scattered rainfall with thunderstorms is predicted for the state. The state had already shut its school and colleges from the last two days due to heavy rainfall. This year, the rainfall in the state has been higher than ever for UP.

North India
North Indian states including Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Bihar, Haryana, and Gujarat will experience isolated rainfall and a significant cloudy weather today.
Northeast India
Widespread rains and thunderstorms are expected to lash the northeastern states including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, and neighbouring states.
South India
A few drizzles with thunderstorms are likely over Jharkhand, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands for today.
