Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has indicated the likelihood of rainfall in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and the Andaman-Nicobar Islands. Additionally, there is a possibility of rain in certain areas of Uttar Pradesh between September 05 and 06. The Meteorological Department attributes this rainfall forecast to the influence of the El Niño weather phenomenon, suggesting the potential for rain in several states once again.
Widespread rainfall and thunderstorms are expected across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In addition, fairly widespread rainfall and thunderstorms are anticipated in regions including Sikkim, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Maharashtra, Goa, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Lakshadweep. Meanwhile, isolated to scattered rainfall and thunderstorms may occur in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam.
Delhi
IMD has projected that the national capital will continue to have a sunny and clear sky with warmness and humidity. No relief is likely in the region in the upcoming days. For today, the maximum temperature will be 38 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 51%.
Mumbai
Mumbai and its suburbs will have a rather pleasant day today. There will be periodic patches of cloud cover taking on the region. Rains are forecast in the region from Tuesday. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 79%.
Chennai
Chennai is projected to remain partly cloudy until noon. However, from there on, scattered thunderstorms will lash the region. Today’s maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 71%.
Kolkata
Thunderstorms will lash the city the entire day. Though there will be some patches of relief in the noon, the day will mostly remain engulfed in rain. Today’s maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 267 degrees with humidity at 80%.
