Weather Update: Severe rainfall is predicted in the northeastern area of the country by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). IMD has also predicted mild to moderate rainfall with occasional thunderstorms and lightning over Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim in North Eastern India. The probability of rainfall in certain districts of Kerala beginning today and continuing until March 30 has been indicated by a warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The skies over Delhi on Tuesday will be gloomy due to a slight western disturbance, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The same will be over Kolkata today.

IMD forecasts scattered to moderately widespread rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, and fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall with isolated thunderstorms & lightning quite possible over Arunachal Pradesh. There is likely to have a warm sunshine in the Tamil Nadu’s capital city Chennai. Severe heavy precipitation or snowfall in isolated areas over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and Meghalaya is quite probable. Possible isolated periods of light to moderate precipitation across Gangetic West Bengal, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. On March 27, there is a good chance of isolated, light to moderate rainfall over Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha. Light rain or snow that is scattered to fairly widespread, with a chance of isolated thunderstorms and lightning over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzafarabad, and Uttarakhand.
