Weather Update: A forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) suggests that there could be thunderstorms in the country’s central regions. The Meteorological Centre, Shimla, states that there is a chance of heavy rain, thunderstorms with lightning in certain areas of the state. Heavy rainfall is predicted in certain districts of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), which includes Noida, Greater Noida and other nearby areas. They also predicted about thunderstorms with rainfall. Along with possible thunderstorms and hailstorms in a few isolated areas of the state, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted rainfall throughout 35 districts of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow. The rain effect is also likely to have in the Jharkhand’s capital city and its nearby regions.

IMD forecasts that the districts of Baksa Nalbari, Bajali, Tamulpur, Darang, Udalguri, few parts of Karbianglong, Sonitpur, Bishwanath, Golaghat and Lakhimpur will probably have thunderstorms and lightning strikes. According to IMD, there is a high likelihood of isolated areas of heavy rain or snowfall in the states of top northern part of the nation. It is also probable to have snowfall in the upper regions. There’s a good chance of hot weather across the Konkan and Goa, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala. It is highly probable that selected areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha would experience a heat wave.
