Weather Update: The majority of the upper areas should see widespread, moderate rain or snow until March 3 including the March 2nd night, according to the meteorological department. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast above average day and night temperatures from March to May for the majority of the nation, hence India is expected to have a warmer summer this year. The weather service issued a warning, stating that most of the nation—aside from northeast India, the western Himalayan area, the southwest peninsula, and the west coast—is likely to see an above-average number of heatwave days. The weather service has issued an isolated warning for Punjab tomorrow, March 2, regarding heavy rains. Very light rain, thunderstorms, and overnight gusts of 25 to 35 kmph are all predicted in the RWFC Delhi regional weather prediction.

IMD forecasts isolated areas of heavy to extremely heavy rain and snowfall over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh. There have been isolated areas of heavy snowfall and rain in Uttarakhand and Punjab, respectively. Thunderstorm coupled with lightning, gusty winds (speed 50–60 kmph) and hailstorm at isolated locations over Punjab, Haryana–Chandigarh. On the other hand, There is lightning, gusty winds (speed 40–50 kmph) and hailstorm at isolated locations over West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, and north Madhya Pradesh. And with lightning, gusty winds (speed 30–40 kmph) and hailstorm at isolated locations over East Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.
