Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for rain and thunderstorms in numerous regions. The IMD anticipates gloomy sky, with the risk of rain, hail, and snowfall in hilly places. The weatherman throws a curveball at Delhi and its neighbouring areas, causing an abrupt shift from sweltering sunshine to the possibility of thunderstorms. Today, Central India can expect thunderstorms, lightning, and mild to moderate rainfall in South Madhya Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Vidarbha. The weatherman has issued a warning for rain and hail in some parts of the MP over the next four days.

IMD forecasts sporadic to isolated light snowfall or rainfall across Arunachal Pradesh and the Western Himalayan Region. Over Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, isolated to sporadic light rainfall is also possible. Lightning and thunderstorms are probably present in scattered areas over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya. Over the Gulf of Mannar and the Comorin area, squally winds with gusts of 45 to 55 kmph are very likely to dominate. It is not advised for fishermen to go into these locations. Light to moderate rainfall was seen on February 28, 2024, in isolated areas over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
