Weather Update: In its most recent weather forecast, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated on Sunday that thunderstorms with lightning, hail, and moderate to heavy rainfall are anticipated in several areas of East and Central India. IMD predicts that Monday will have partly cloudy skies over the nation's capital, with high and low temperatures expected to hover around 31 and 11 degrees Celsius. Additionally, light to heavy rainfall or snowfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is predicted for Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Furthermore, the Western Himalayan Region is expected to be impacted by a new Western Disturbance beginning on March 18.

For the next three days, it is predicted that light to moderate rainfall will be scattered to fairly widespread across Jharkhand including Ranchi, Odisha, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal including Kolkata, and East Madhya Pradesh. There will also likely be thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 kmph. IMD forecasts light to moderate rainfall that is scattered to fairly widespread, with isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds probable over Gangetic West Bengal. There is also a chance of hailstorms and squalls, with wind speeds of 50–60 kmph. Light to heavy rainfall in patches across a wide area in Jharkhand, Odisha, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds. There's also a good chance of an isolated hailstorm over Jharkhand, Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Vidarbha. Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand are likely to experience isolated, intense rains.
