Weather Update: THESE states to be impacted by cyclone Sitrang; Know today’s weather forecast

Weather Update: All around the nation, preparations are well under way for Kali Puja, Dhanteras, and Diwali. However, several regions of the country appear to be seeing a worsening weather trend. On Dhanteras, Diwali, and Kali Puja days, it is anticipated that mild to heavy rains may fall in several areas of the nation. During this period, there is also a chance of a severe wind.

While this is happening, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain for today in most of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, the Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. In addition, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that rainfall is possible in several areas of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh through October 25.

Delhi

Contrasting to the previous days, weather in the national capital region is expected to be partially cloudy. However, there are no chances of rain, so you can pretty much continue your festive shopping. Apart from today, the weather is also predicted to remain clear in the upcoming days.

Mumbai

Adding further relief, in the latest weather update, the city and its suburbs are expected to have a cloudy weather today. There are very minor chance of rain happening in the city, contrasting to the state.

Chennai

The city, as predicted, will continue to receive moderate rainfall with thunderstorms. Due to the same, the sky will remain cloudy as well. The weather conditions are likely to improve after a couple of days.

Cyclone Sitrang’s impact on the Indian subcontinent, particularly the eastern, northeastern, and southern regions of the nation, is now imminent as its development process in the Bay of Bengal is well under way. However, certain states would have to carry the burden more heavily than others since they risk having their Diwali celebrations dimmed by the severe weather.

Widespread rain and thunderstorms, along with isolated heavy rain, may lash Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Meanwhile Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema and North Interior Karnataka will recieve isolated rains with thunderstorms.
