Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has indicated the likelihood of widespread rainfall across the country over the upcoming three days. Rainfall is expected to persist in the northeastern states until September 9. Additionally, the Meteorological Department has forecasted light to heavy rain showers in East Rajasthan on September 7th and 9th, as well as in Uttarakhand on September 8th and 9th.
Intense rainfall is predicted for various regions, including Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, and Mahe. Widespread rainfall and thunderstorms are anticipated in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Mahe, and Lakshadweep.
Delhi
The scorching heat and humid conditions will continue in the national capital. No relief is likely until the weekend. For today, the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees and the minimum degree will be 28 degrees with humidity at 54%.
Mumbai
IMD has forecast that the city and its suburbs will experience thunderstorms and intense rainfall the entire day. This trend in weather conditions is likely to continue further as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees and the minimum degree will be 27 degrees with humidity at 87%.
Chennai
No relief is on the cards for Chennai as well, the clouds will engulf the city and experience drizzles throughout the day. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees and the minimum degree will be 27 degrees with humidity at 80%.
Kolkata
Kolkata has been projected to receive intense rainfall and thunderstorms the entire day. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees and the minimum degree will be 26 degrees with humidity at 91%.
