Weather Update: Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning for rainfall, thunderstorms, and hailstorms over Northwest and East India for today & tomorrow. The forecasted weather condition is triggered by the western disturbance affecting the western Himalayan region and cyclonic circulation over the eastern parts of the country. Today also marks the beginning of IPL's 16th edition with the first match between CSK & GT in Ahmedabad.
As per the latest weather forecast, the weather in Ahmedabad will remain clear and no rains or thunderstorms are likely to hamper the start of the tournament. However, the weather conditions will see a significant change in the states such as Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. Apart from these, the Northeast will also witness rainfalls.
The national capital, Delhi, is forecast to experience moderate to heavy rains along with significant drop in temperatures. Also, cloudy sky will continue to cover the city just like yesterday evening & last night. For today, the maximum temperature will be 23 degrees and minimum will be 18 degrees.
Mumbai
As per the latest weather update, Mumbai and its suburbs are predicted to remain partly overcast. No rains or change in weather is predicted, though. From tomorrow, sunny and clear sky are predicted. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 30 degrees and the minimum will be 25 degrees.
Chennai
Clear sky and sunny weather is on cards for Chennai today. No major change in weather is anticipated for few days. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees and minimum will be 27 degrees.
IMD has predicted Kolkata to witness heavy rainfall today & tomorrow. No relief is likely for these two days. The maximum temperature will be 29 degrees and minimum will be 24 degrees.
