Weather Update: In various regions of the nation, including central and northwest India, the IMD has recorded light to moderate rainfall, with some regions recording high precipitation. The national capital is issued with an "orange" alert by the Meteorological Department (IMD) due to the arrival of the monsoon and the thundershowers and strong winds in the affected areas. A yellow alert, indicating severe rainfall in isolated places, is simultaneously issued for Mumbai for the same date. The city would see heavy rainfall as per the IMD forecast.

IMD forecasts heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, with isolated areas likely to see exceptionally heavy falls. Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is expected in few parts of states like Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Bihar, according to the India Meteorological Department. IMD forecasts significant precipitation in isolated areas over Tamil Nadu, Kerala,Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. However there is an orange rain alert in Delhi.
