Wrestlers Protest: The wrestlers who were protesting left Haridwar’s Har Ki Pauri, where they had gathered to submerge their illustrious medals. In the event that no action is done against WFI chairman Brij Bhushan Singh, they have issued an ultimatum to the Centre and will return in five days. The medals were taken by the head of the farmers, Naresh Tikait.

Wrestling federation leader Brij Bhushan Singh is accused of sexual harassment, and protesting wrestlers have given the Union government five days to place him under arrest or they will return. Until the time expires, the athletes will not submerge their medals in the Ganga river.

Wrestlers Question the Worth of Their Decorated Medals
The wrestlers Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia, and Vinesh Phogat had written in a message before travelling to Haridwar to submerge the gold, “It seems that these medals decorated around our necks have no value any more. We are being treated like criminals by the system and the police.”
