He also stressed that the project will focus on real events and proper research. “Rooted in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack and backed by extensive, ground-level research in collaboration with multiple wings of the Indian Armed Forces, this is a story drawn from reality… not to create noise, but to confront it: with facts, with clarity and the magic of cinema.”

The professor who was later identified as Mohammed allegedly confessed to his love after the girl had initially proposed to him. However, the girl refuted the claim and smashed him with slippers before other students joined her in trashing the professor. The professor had also distributed chocolates to mark the love-filled occasion only before he was trashed openly by the same set of students before whom he had confessed his love for the girl.

The professor claimed that CCTV footage was there to support his statement that the girl had initially proposed to him. After this, the girl demanded the footage to be released. As soon as the professor exited the classroom, the agitated girl and other students assaulted him.

Director Aditya Dhar shared a clarification after a complaint was filed by a Sikh organisation, which claimed that a scene in the film disrespected the community. The filmmaker said that the viral image being shared online is fake and was created using artificial intelligence to spread confusion.

This Ranveer Singh starrer is currently running strongly in theatres and earning huge numbers at the box office. However, the online controversy has created fresh debate on social media, forcing the makers to respond and explain the situation.

Dhurandhar 2 Controversy: Aditya Dhar Says Viral Image Is Fake

Aditya Dhar shared a long note on social media and warned people not to believe edited visuals. He said, “I am deeply grateful & indebted for the overwhelming love that Dhurandhar The Revenge has received from audiences across the country and the world. However, it has come to my attention that certain individuals are circulating manipulated visuals by morphing officially released promotional material using artificial intelligence to create false and misleading narratives.”

He also made it clear that the image being shared does not belong to the film. He added, “One such fabricated image falsely depicts the character Hamza/Jaskirat smoking while wearing a turban. This is completely untrue and does not form part of the film or any official material released by us. It is a deliberate act of misrepresentation intended to provoke and create mischief,” he added.

The director further said that the film was made with full respect for the Sikh community. He concluded by saying, “Let me state this unequivocally: I hold the highest respect for the Sikh community, and every portrayal in the film has been handled with utmost sensitivity, dignity, and responsibility. Any attempt to suggest otherwise through any doctored content is malicious and dishonest. I urge audiences to rely only on official content and watch the film as it is intended, and not fall prey to AI-generated misinformation being circulated with ulterior motives. Such acts will be dealt with firmly.”

The issue started after a Mumbai-based Sikh organisation reportedly filed an FIR against Ranveer Singh and the makers of Dhurandhar 2. The group claimed that a scene showed R. Madhavan reciting holy lines while smoking, which they said hurt religious sentiments.

R Madhavan later shared a video message to clarify the scene. He said, “Recently, we came to know that some people were hurt because in one scene of the film, while reciting lines from Guru Gobind Singh ji’s Dasam Granth, I was seen smoking a cigarette. I assure you, this is not correct – it is a misunderstanding. Before delivering those lines, Aditya Dhar, who is very mindful about such things, had clearly told me to put out the cigarette. There would be no smoke from my mouth, no smoke visible on screen, and no cigarette in my hand, because this is sacred and pure for us as well.”

He added, “I properly extinguished the cigarette. If you watch the scene carefully, you will see there is no smoke, no trace of it in the frame, and no sign of a cigarette till the end of the scene. We are aware that we should never hurt anyone’s sentiments, even unknowingly.”

Under the initiative, more than 15000 youth would receive training in digital media and artificial intelligence, free of charge. The Ministry announced the Creator’s Corner would air after launch on DD News from Mondays to Fridays, featuring 4-6 reels or videos per episode. It would slowly and steadily expand across other Doordarshan channels.

The third initiative would focus on enhancing access to public broadcasting. The advanced program guide in television sets and built-in satellite tuners would help people, especially those in rural areas, easily access the wide range of services offered by DD Free Dish without installing a separate set-top box.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh Box Office Collection Day 7: Pawan Kalyan starrer action comedy Ustaad Bhagat Singh is finding it difficult to maintain a strong run at the box office. The film was released on March 19 and clashed with Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge. While the big-budget action film has turned into a massive theatrical success, UBS has failed to keep the same pace. After seven days in theatres, the film has ended its first week with disappointing numbers, which has raised doubts about its long-term performance.

The competition at the box office has been tough from the first day. With Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge dominating screens across languages, Pawan Kalyan’s film has struggled to hold its ground. The steady fall in collections during the weekdays shows that the film could not build strong word-of-mouth among the audience. What’s worse is that the film is earning under Rs 2 cr.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh Box Office Collection Day 7

According to trade website Sacnilk, Ustaad Bhagat Singh collected Rs 2.50 crore on its first Monday, followed by Rs 1.75 crore on Tuesday. On Day 7, Wednesday, the film recorded its lowest single-day collection so far with just Rs 1.14 crore. With this, the total domestic collection of the film after its first week stands at Rs 65.74 crore.

The numbers clearly show the impact of Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge, which continues to perform strongly at the box office. The Ranveer Singh starrer collected Rs 47.70 crore on the same Wednesday alone, taking its total to Rs 623.42 crore in India. The big gap between the two films highlights how difficult the clash has been for Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

The film is also behind Pawan Kalyan’s previous releases. Hari Hara Veera Mallu had earned Rs 79.73 crore in its first week, while They Call Him OG had collected Rs 161.6 crore in seven days. This means Ustaad Bhagat Singh has earned about 59 per cent less than They Call Him OG in the same time. The film is now struggling to cross the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide, which was earlier expected to happen easily.

About The Film

Directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Ustaad Bhagat Singh stars Pawan Kalyan along with Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna and R Parthiban in important roles. The film opened to mixed-to-negative reviews from critics and audiences, which seems to have affected its box office performance.

Talking about the trolling and criticism, director Harish Shankar reacted at a recent event. He said, “Trollers are more than free to troll anything, I take constructive criticism. Like – the scene was not very well written, or it could have been written much better, the first half was a little slow… I will take the constructive criticism, and I don’t think of taking the troll material seriously because their identity and their whereabouts are not known. They themselves are too insecure to reveal their identity.”

He also said that he does not take abusive comments seriously and prefers to block or report people who cross the line online.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh marks the reunion of Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan after their 2012 hit Gabbar Singh, which was a remake of the Hindi film Dabangg and became a big success at the box office. However, this time the duo is facing a tougher situation, as the film continues its run with slow collections and a weak response.

LPG Shortage: Long queues were witnessed across several cities and villages in the state of Madhya Pradesh. People gathered in thousands outside gas agencies and fuel pumps across the state despite assurance by Govind Singh Rajput, state’s Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister.

Rajput has remarked that there is absolutely no shortage of diesel or petrol in Madhya Pradesh. The Minister also urged people not to believe rumours and avoid panic buying. Rajput added that oil companies have communicated time and again that there is no shortage of petrol and diesel in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

LPG Shortage-Fuel Pumps Go Dry

Due to panic buying, many fuel pumps in the state ran out of fuel supply. In Maharashtra and Telangana, long queues were also witnessed. Dealers in the state remarked that slow stock replenishment from depots could not handle high-speed sales. Moreover, oil companies insisted on advance payments that added to fuel procurement delays.

Several parts in Indore, Shajapur, Jhabua, Ujjain and Mandsaur saw people lining in never-ending queues to full the fuel tanks of their vehicles fearing a long-term, massive shortage of diesel and petrol in the country.

Status Of Fuel Supply in Other States

N Uttam Kumar Reddy, the Civil Supplies Minister of Telangana, remarked that the state has sufficient reserves of diesel and petrol that would last for the upcoming three months and more.

In Maharashtra, the city of Vidarbha saw exceedingly high demand for petrol and diesel causing mass drying of fuel pumps as refills failed to match the pace of never-ending queues.

Sanjay Bhandari, the oil industry coordinator in Uttar Pradesh, urged people to engage in “sensible consumption.”

The Union Government as well as all state governments has repeatedly assured the common public not to engage in panic buying or hoarding but several instances have emerged, causing shortage of fuel supplies. This has resulted in more rumours and instances of panic buying.
