Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking Craze Peaks: Ranveer Singh Film Leaves Pathaan And Baahubali 2 Behind In Ticket Sales, Crosses THIS Mark For Opening Day

Dhurandhar 2 advance booking has created a huge buzz ahead of the film’s release. The Ranveer Singh starrer is getting a massive response across India, with ticket sales increasing quickly every hour. At the time of writing, the film had already earned around Rs 42.71 crore in advance booking for the opening day. With block seats included, the total went close to Rs 47.91 crore. Nearly 10 lakh tickets have been sold so far.

Trade reports say the film is heading towards one of the biggest openings in recent years. More than 12,000 shows have been scheduled across the country, and many theatres are already reporting fast filling shows. The current trend suggests the film may challenge the opening records of big blockbusters like Pathaan and Baahubali 2.

Dhurandhar 2 advance booking numbers are mainly driven by the Hindi version, which alone has crossed Rs 40 crore in sales. At the same time, the film is also doing well in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions, which is helping the overall total grow.

State-wise, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, Telangana and Gujarat are leading the advance booking. Maharashtra has already crossed Rs 10 crore with block seats, while Karnataka and Delhi are showing strong occupancy. In many cities, evening and night shows are marked almost full, and several theatres are adding extra screenings.

The film has also broken ticket sales records during advance booking. It has already crossed Pathaan’s 5.45 lakh tickets and Baahubali 2’s 6.5 lakh ticket sales in India before release. Because of the huge demand, exhibitors have started increasing the number of shows even before the first day.

One of the biggest talking points is the long runtime of the film. Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge runs for nearly four hours, making it one of the longest Hindi films in recent times. Due to heavy demand, theatres in major cities have opened late-night and early-morning shows, which is very rare before release day.

Reports say cinemas in Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad have started bookings for shows as early as 2:00 am. Some multiplexes in Mumbai (including theatres in Sion and Thane) have scheduled shows between 2:15 am and 5:30 am to manage the rush. More theatres may follow this pattern if the demand continues.

About The Sequel

The film follows undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi (also known as Hamza Ali Mazari), played by Ranveer Singh. The story shows him entering a dangerous network of gangsters, terrorists and political forces to destroy India’s enemies from inside. The film also stars Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Sara Arjun in key roles.

The Central Board of Film Certification has given the film an ‘A’ rating because of strong violence and language. The approved runtime is around 3 hours and 49 minutes after a few cuts were made.

LPG Shortage: Factories And Clinical Research Hubs Hit By Middle East Crisis! Would Inductions And Traditional Chulhas Be The Norm Going Forward?

LPG Shortage

LPG Shortage: The ongoing shortage of commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders in the country has started to severely hit institutional kitchens across the country. The development has now started to affect millions of patients undergoing medical trials and factory attendances. As millions of patients and workers face disruptions, could this be the turning point that would push India back to traditional chulhas or innovate to induction cooktops as the new normal?

LPG Shortage-Factory Canteens And Institutional Catering Severely Impacted

Several small eateries, hotels and restaurants have been severely impacted due to non-availability of commercial LPG cylinders. These days, factory canteens and institutional catering have been forced to make a switch to traditional chulhas (wood-fired stoves) and induction cooktops to keep their kitchens operative.

Several medical facilities and clinical research centres in the country are struggling with offering a tailored diet to patients undergoing medical trials.

Furthermore, the situation has worsened after Holi when several outstation workers went back home and refused to make a return from their hometowns after learning about the shortage of LPG cylinders.

In recent days, institutional catering that is important for schools, hostels and corporate cafeterias faces even bigger challenges. In India, institutional catering relies heavily on bulk LPG for scale and hygiene. Now, operators of these catering facilities warn of nutritional shortfalls, scaled-back menus and rising meal costs as wood per quintal is not cheap and induction cooktops require inverters to beat power cuts.

The Road Ahead: Policy Fixes or Permanent Shift?

Will induction cooktops and traditional chulhas become the norm going forward? The answer is a big yes in the short term but diversification would be the key in the long run. Meanwhile, the Union Government has already instructed oil marketing companies like BPCL and HPCL to significantly boost LPG production at their plants while fast-tracking LNG terminals and subsidizing alternatives.

Ali Larijani: Fatal Blow To Tehran! Iran’s Hidden Powerbroker’s Death Confirmed! Does That Hand Donald Trump Advantage?

Ali Larijani

Ali Larijani: Veteran politician Ali Larijani who assisted the wartime efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran against Israel and the United States has been killed in an Israeli airstrike.

Ali Larijani Death Confirmed

The 67-year-old Larijani along with his son were at his daughter’s home when the attack took place. According to a statement by the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, the deaths of Ali Larijani and his son have been confirmed.

For decades, Ali Larijani had been the mainstay of Iran’s conservative politics. Known in the political circles for his ability to build alliances and shrewd pragmatism, Larijani had long been the bridge builder between the political and military establishment.

Ellie Geranmayeh, senior policy fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, remarked that Larijani had been at the forefront of recent negotiations that were focused at identifying political breakthroughs with the United States.

What Does The Death Of Iran’s Top Security Official Mean For The War Now?

In 2025, Larijani was appointed as the country’s top security official for the second time after the first war on Iran by Israel. The role of Larijani assumed significant importance after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and many prominent military leaders were killed in joint strikes by Israel and the United States.

Larijani played a crucial role in suppressing the protests in January 2026 and was a rare figure trusted by Iran’s elite leadership for both escalation and de-escalation. The news of his death is not likely to affect Iran much as army leaders of the country have vowed for decisive retaliation, which may potentially spike oil prices across the globe. His death indeed removes an important tactician but not the command structure.

However, US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have gained an upper hand as the off-ramp options of Iran have been severely limited by the death of Ali Larijani.

‘Voices Must Be Heard’: Afganistan Cricketer Allah Ghazanfar Reacts to Kabul Tragedy, Calls for Urgent Support from India

Famous Afghan cricketer Allah Ghazanfar has spoken out strongly against the deadly airstrike in Kabul that shook the world. The Mumbai Indian young spinner called the deaths of more than 400 people, including three cricket players, a “tragedy” and asked India and the rest of the world to act right away.

What happened in Kabul?

Reports say that the attack hit a major hospital and rehabilitation centre in Kabul, causing a lot of damage and killing civilians. Patients, medical staff, and at least three local cricket players were among the victims, which made the tragedy very personal for the cricket community.

A lot of people have criticised the event because it happened during Ramadan, a time of peace and compassion.

Ghazanfar’s Strong Reaction Against the Barbaric Strike

Allah Ghazanfar, who will play for the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming Indian Premier League, didn’t hold back when he spoke out against the attack. He said that attacks on hospitals are completely wrong and called the strike “barbaric.”

“Voices must be heard,” his quote has quickly become popular on the internet and is now a symbol of opposition to the violence. The cricket player also talked about how he knew the facility personally, which Afghan players had already visited as part of outreach programs.

A Call to the World Cricket Community and India

In a direct message, Ghazanfar told the government to get involved and called India Afghanistan’s “close friend.” He asked for help, diplomatic pressure, and humanitarian aid at international meetings like the United Nations.

He stressed that Afghanistan has always turned to India for help in tough times and that it needs that help now more than ever.

As things change, Ghazanfar’s emotional appeal is still relevant. It reminds everyone that they can’t stay quiet anymore.

Sara Ali Khan: ‘Hain Kaun Ye Dharam Ke Judges?’ Actress Gets Fan Support After BKTC Demands Proof Of Belief In Sanatan Dharma

Sara Ali Khan must submit Affidavit on belief in Sanatan dharma

Badri-Kedar Temple Committee (BKTC) has announced that Bollywood actor Sara Ali Khan must submit an affidavit of faith to continue visiting the Kedarnath and Badrinath temples. The decision comes after her frequent pilgrimages to the Himalayan shrines, which have sparked debate among traditionalists because of her interfaith background.

The new rule is part of BKTC’s effort to preserve the sanctity and traditions of the 47 temples under its care. Visitors from interfaith families or non-Hindu backgrounds are now required to formally declare their belief in Sanatan Dharma before entering the inner sanctum for darshan.

BKTC chairman Ajendra Ajay said the temples remain open to all who have faith, but now require a written declaration to respect the religious practices. He said, “If Sara Ali Khan expresses her devotion towards Sanatan Dharma and submits an affidavit, we will allow her to offer prayers.”

A standardised affidavit has been introduced for this purpose. Visitors must provide their name, address and formally affirm that they follow Hindu principles. The form is available at temple entry points. Those who do not submit it will not be allowed inside the temple, although they can still visit Kedarnath town and enjoy the surroundings.

Sara Ali Khan Fans Support Her Amid Demand For Proof In Belief

Sara Ali Khan received widespread support online after the announcement. Many social media users criticised BKTC’s actions. One wrote, “Gods never distinguish between people, whether they are good or bad. Why do some believe that god is theirs only?”

Another said, “Truly said. God is unbiased and shares his blessings with everyone. Let people follow what they wish.”

A third user asked, “Hain kaun ye dharam k judges?”

One more commented, “This is ridiculous, once again we are regressing. The whole point of Sanatan is lost.”

Fans also defended her family and nationality. One user said, “Uski maa aur dadi Hindu hai, kya ye proof kaafi nahi? And above all, she is an Indian.”

In a previous interview with NDTV, Sara shared her love for Kedarnath. She said, “I have gone to Kedarnath quite a few times, hopefully (will go) every year. I am who I am because of that place. Most people who come here have watched the film; therefore, they know me. If I am sitting around a dhaba near Kedarnath, most people do recognise me – but sometimes one odd traveller will just ask for directions to the temple.”

Her Work Front

On the work front, Sara was last seen in Anurag Basu’s Metro… In Dino, alongside Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Despite being a multi-starrer, It underperformed at the box office. Her next project is Pati Patni Aur Woh Do.

“The Future of India Will Be Shaped by How Deeply Education and Industry Learn to Work Together” – Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra

ASSOCHAM

A national roundtable on “Transforming Higher Education through Digital Ecosystems & Industry Partnerships” was organised by ASSOCHAM National Education Council in collaboration with Shobhit University, bringing together academic leaders, industrial HR professionals, technology experts, and institutional practitioners for a substantive discussion on the evolving relationship between higher education and industry in a rapidly changing knowledge environment.

The roundtable was chaired by Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Chairman ASSOCHAM National Education Council and Chancellor, Shobhit University, who observed that while universities across India are steadily strengthening academic, research, and digital capacities, the next stage of educational progress will require deeper and more sustained engagement with industry.

“The future of India will be shaped by how deeply education and industry learn to work together. If both continue to move separately, young talent may remain qualified, but not fully prepared for the realities ahead,” he said.

During the deliberations, industry representatives noted that one of the continuing concerns remains the gap between academic qualification and workplace preparedness. While graduates often possess foundational technical knowledge, many employers still encounter limitations in communication ability, practical problem-solving, adaptability to work culture, and interdisciplinary understanding.

Several participants underlined that communication skills remain among the most frequently identified challenges during recruitment and early professional integration, particularly where young graduates are expected to work in collaborative and fast-changing professional environments.

The discussion also reflected that industry engagement with higher education must move beyond placements alone. Greater participation in curriculum design, structured internships, live project exposure, practitioner-led sessions, and regular faculty interaction with industry environments were identified as important areas requiring stronger institutional attention.

A significant point emerging from the roundtable was the need to strengthen joint research between universities and industry. Participants observed that academic research often develops independently of industrial problem statements, while industry itself has yet to fully utilise university-based research capability for applied innovation and long-term knowledge partnerships.

Suggestions included collaborative research platforms, applied innovation centres, industry supported doctoral engagement, and thematic centres of excellence where practical challenges and academic inquiry can converge more meaningfully.

The roundtable also examined the growing role of artificial intelligence, digital ecosystems, changing work structures, and the need for institutions to prepare learners not only for first employment, but for long-term adaptability in an evolving economy.

A shared reflection during the session was that technology has expanded educational possibility, but its true value lies in how effectively it is integrated with human judgment, ethical responsibility, and social understanding.

The programme was coordinated with active support from Dr. Ambika Sharma, Assistant Secretary General, ASSOCHAM, and Dr. Swati Sharma, Senior Director, ASSOCHAM.

The deliberations concluded with broad agreement that if India is to strengthen itself as a knowledge-driven society, education and industry must move beyond occasional interaction and evolve into a more continuous, thoughtful, and future-oriented partnership for national development.

Delhi’s Uttam Nagar on the Boil Ahead of Eid? Muslims Leave Locality, Check Why?

Uttam-Nagar
Google

Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, tension in Uttam Nagar has led some Muslim families to leave temporarily due to safety concerns.

Background of the Situation

The tension in Uttam Nagar did not arise suddenly but began with a tragic incident during the Holi celebrations on March 4. A minor argument over a water balloon quickly escalated into violence, leading to the death of a 26-year-old man, Tarun. Reports suggest that existing personal tensions may have also contributed to the clash. Following the incident, protests demanding justice increased, and police presence was tightened to control the situation. Meanwhile, social media played a role in spreading different narratives, which further heightened tensions. In the following days, concerns of communal unrest grew, especially with provocative messages and warnings circulating Eid al-Fitr. This created fear among some Muslim families, leading several of them to temporarily leave the area ahead of the festival. Overall, what started as a small dispute during Holi turned into a sensitive law-and-order situation, showing how quickly tensions can escalate due to fear and misinformation.

 Why Are Muslim Families Leaving?

Some families in Uttam Nagar have temporarily moved to nearby areas or relatives’ homes as a precautionary step until the situation normalizes. Even without any major incident, a constant feeling of insecurity has affected daily life, making people feel unsafe in their own neighborhood. The tense social environment has also disrupted routine interactions, creating discomfort and isolation, which has led many to choose temporary relocation for peace of mind.

 Role of Authorities

  • Security Measures: Authorities in West Delhi are expected to increase police presence and monitoring in the area. This helps in maintaining law and order and gives a sense of security to residents.
  • Control of Rumors: Officials need to address misinformation and provide clear updates. This can help reduce panic and stop the spread of unnecessary fear.
  • Building Trust: Efforts to improve communication between communities can play a big role in restoring normalcy. Trust and understanding are key to maintaining peace in such situations.

About The Film

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2 is the second part of a spy action thriller saga. The first instalment, released on December 5, became a box office sensation, earning over ₹1300 crore worldwide and becoming the first Bollywood film to cross Rs1000 crore domestically.

The story follows Indian spy Jaskirat aka Hamza (Ranveer Singh) as he infiltrates Karachi’s criminal and political networks. The plot draws from real-life events, including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, the 2008 Mumbai attacks, and elements of Operation Lyari. The sequel will see the return of R Madhavan as strategist Ajay Sanyal, Arjun Rampal as ISI Major Iqbal and Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam.

Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled to release on March 19 with an A certificate from the CBFC. The film will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Paid previews, starting Wednesday at 5:30 pm, are already nearly sold out, with close to 10 lakh tickets booked.

The film narrowly avoided clashing with Yash’s Toxic, which has been postponed to June 4. However, it will now compete with Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which is releasing on the same day.

Officials said the ‘Geeta Bhavan’ centres will be equipped with modern infrastructure

According to official details, the projects have been sanctioned in Rewa, Chhindwara, Katni and Khandwa, with a total investment running into several crores. The estimated cost includes ₹5 crore for Rewa, ₹2.5 crore for Chhindwara, ₹2.4 crore for Katni and ₹2 crore for Khandwa.

Authorities added that the project will also boost local tourism and provide a platform for scholars, students and the general public to engage with India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage in a modern setting.

Praising the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Cheema said the scheme reflects a governance model where public service is treated as a duty. He added that the initiative has received widespread appreciation from people across the state.

According to Cheema, the scheme enables elderly citizens to undertake pilgrimage journeys with dignity and ease, ensuring they remain connected to their spiritual beliefs. The programme is aimed at providing support to those who may not have the financial means to travel to religious destinations.

‘Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana’

Officials said the ‘Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana’ is part of the state government’s broader efforts to promote social welfare and inclusivity, particularly for senior citizens in Punjab.

The minister noted that such initiatives have helped build trust among people and have become a key strength of the government. He emphasised that the positive response from citizens reflects the growing acceptance of welfare-driven governance in the state.

The Punjab government has been showcasing its achievements under the campaign “Shandar 4 Saal Maan De Naal,” highlighting key initiatives and public welfare schemes implemented over the past four years.

Officials said the programme is being implemented in a structured manner to ensure transparency and accessibility, with efforts to reach beneficiaries from both urban and rural areas across the state.

The minister emphasised that such welfare initiatives are part of the government’s larger vision to deliver inclusive governance, where every section of society benefits from development and social support measures.

By appointing Tarn Taran in-charge, Sukhbir Badal has exposed his ‘Gangster Model’ for Punjab: Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal

Punjab News

Aam Aadmi Party Punjab’s Chief Spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal criticised Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal over the appointment of Kanchanpreet Kaur as Tarn Taran constituency in-charge, stating that this move has exposed the kind of political model Sukhbir Singh Badal intends to present in Punjab ahead of 2027.

Addressing a press conference at the party office on Tuesday, AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said, “By appointing Kanchanpreet Kaur as the constituency in-charge from Tarn Taran, Sukhbir Singh Badal has made it clear what kind of model he intends to bring to Punjab in 2027. Just as the BJP talks about the Gujarat model or the Haryana government speaks of the Haryana model, Sukhbir Singh Badal is now presenting his own ‘Sukhbir Model’ in Punjab, which only promotes people with criminal backgrounds.”

The AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson further stated, “If Sukhbir Singh Badal wants to present his ‘Gangster Model’, then he should immediately announce candidates in all 117 constituencies so that people can understand his true mindset. He should also declare tickets for people like Jagdish Bhola from Abohar. Why is he delaying announcing names like Algo from Dera Baba Nanak?”

Taking his remarks further, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said, “If the Akali Dal intends to rub salt into Punjab’s wounds, then Sukhbir Singh Badal should also announce candidates like Sumedh Saini and Umranangal, controversial officers accused in firing on unarmed Sikhs in Bargari, Behbal Kalan, and Kotkapura. He should now even seek a list from Gurmeet Ram Rahim so that the full picture of his ‘gangster and criminal’ model becomes clear.”

He added, “Sukhbir Singh Badal should give tickets to those who sent money to the Badal family through scams involving leftover food and dry rotis from the langar at Darbar Sahib. He should also give tickets to those who stole 328 saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and even field his chartered accountant Kohli, who manages his finances. Former jathedars who granted pardon to Gurmeet Ram Rahim at Sukhbir Singh Badal’s behest should also be given tickets so that people of Punjab can see what kind of individuals are part of his group.”

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal further said, “Sukhbir Singh Badal should also give tickets to those who encroached upon or sold lands belonging to Guru Ghars. Managers who sold lands of Amb Sahib and Anandpur Sahib and routed money to the Badals should also be made candidates.”

He stated, “On one hand, Sukhbir Singh Badal talks about driving away gangsters, while on the other hand he himself has started this gangsters promoting campaign.”

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal added, “Sukhbir Singh Badal may satisfy himself by giving tickets to doctors and leaders involved in alleged corruption in SGPC and Guru Ramdas Hospital, but the people of Punjab will no longer vote for them.”

He concluded, “The real workers of the Akali Dal have already left the party, and now Sukhbir Singh Badal is left only with a group of people focused on collecting money. His dream of coming to power will never be fulfilled, but announcing 117 candidates will certainly expose his true face and that of his associates before the people of Punjab.”

Punjab Signs ₹3,500 Crore Pact with World Bank to Launch Historic School Transformation Mission: CM Bhagwant Singh Mann

CM Mann

In a defining milestone in Punjab’s education journey, the Bhagwant Mann Government has launched Punjab Sikhya Kranti 2.0, a transformative new phase of school education reform with a total investment of ₹3,500 crore over the next six years. The initiative aims to deepen structural reforms in government schools and align Punjab’s education ecosystem with global standards.

As part of this mission, the Punjab Government has also entered into a collaboration with the World Bank to support implementation of the programme. The partnership reflects international recognition of the measurable progress Punjab has already achieved in public education reforms.

The ₹3,500 crore mission includes ₹2,500 crore through World Bank loan assistance and ₹1,000 crore from the Punjab Government, making it one of the largest education reform investments in the history of the State.

Punjab Sikhya Kranti 2.0 builds upon the remarkable progress achieved under the first phase of Punjab Sikhya Kranti, which has transformed government schools across the State and propelled Punjab to the top of national education rankings.

In the PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 conducted by the Government of India, Punjab ranked Number One in classroom learning outcomes, surpassing Kerala and emerging as the national leader. This achievement reflects the deep structural reforms undertaken through Punjab Sikhiya Kranti, which strengthened classroom instruction, upgraded infrastructure and enhanced school governance across nearly 20,000 government schools.

Over the past two years, the State has also operationalised structured career guidance systems, expanded access to science and commerce streams, strengthened teacher training ecosystems and modernised school infrastructure across thousands of institutions, ensuring that reforms move beyond announcements to measurable outcomes.

These systemic reforms have laid a strong and credible foundation. Punjab Sikhya Kranti 2.0 now seeks to institutionalise these gains and prepare Punjab’s education system to compete with the best in the world.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the success of Punjab Sikhiya Kranti has already rewritten the education narrative of the State. “Punjab has shown that government schools can lead the nation. Ranking number one in PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 is proof of that transformation. With Punjab Sikhya Kranti 2.0, we are now preparing our education system to compete with the best in the world. The collaboration with the World Bank reflects the credibility and transparency with which Punjab has carried out education reforms. This is the next leap forward in our commitment to every child,” said the Chief Minister.

Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said Punjab Sikhya Kranti has already delivered measurable results and the next phase will expand the scale and depth of reforms. “Punjab Sikhya Kranti transformed our government schools and placed Punjab at the top of national education rankings. Punjab Sikhya Kranti 2.0 will now accelerate our journey from national leadership to global excellence. Every child in Punjab deserves opportunities that match international standards, and this mission will help us achieve that vision,” said the Education Minister.

Detailing the next phase of reform, the Punjab Government stated that the ₹3,500 crore mission will deepen and sustain the gains of Punjab Sikhya Kranti through focused and outcome driven interventions. The initiative will prioritise strengthening foundational learning by ensuring every child achieves foundational skills through structured assessments, improved pedagogy and targeted academic support.

It will expand pathways to higher education and careers by increasing access to science and commerce streams, upgrading vocational education and introducing structured career counselling systems to guide students toward higher education and meaningful employment. A comprehensive Career Guidance Portal will be introduced to digitally enable personalised counselling, aptitude assessment and informed career and stream choices for students across the State.

The reform agenda will empower teachers and school leaders by strengthening teacher training institutions, modernising professional development programmes and implementing a comprehensive school leadership framework.
