Priyanka Chopra explained that she and Nick want their daughter to enjoy a childhood that is as normal as possible. According to the actor, since she chose to live a public life as a celebrity, she does not want her child to feel pressured to do the same.

She said she would prefer Malti to decide for herself in the future whether she wants to live in the public eye. For now, the couple is focused on giving her the freedom to grow up without constant attention.

Priyanka also revealed a shocking incident that made the family even more careful about their daughter’s safety. She shared that a stranger once followed Malti home from school while recording her. The experience deeply concerned the family and made them more protective about their child’s privacy.

Because of such situations, the couple now relies on security personnel when they are out in public. Priyanka explained that the security arrangements are mainly meant to prevent people from filming their daughter without consent.

Talking about the situation, she said, “When we have security out and about, it’s just … to not be recorded without consent because a lot of that happens… I’ve always been of the opinion that I kind of chose a public life… (When) it comes to children, that’s … terrain we are all learning in the last like 10 to 20 years what that is gonna be like in the next 10 years, 15 years for them. So I think a little bit of grace is required for everyone, but also certain awareness of safety and what that means.”

Priyanka added that she hopes her daughter grows up feeling safe while also learning to trust people around her. At the same time, she wants Malti to have the freedom to choose how much of her life she shares with the public in the future.

Priyanka and Nick married in 2018 in a widely celebrated wedding that blended Indian and Western traditions. In 2022, the couple welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, through surrogacy.

Priyanka Chopra’s Upcoming Projects

On the professional front, Priyanka continues to work on several international and Indian projects. She was last seen in the pirate action-adventure film The Bluff.

It is one year since March 2025, Bhagwant Mann started the aggressive anti-drug campaign “Yudh Nashian Virodh” (War Against Drugs). Meanwhile, March 19 will remain a restricted holiday in places like Maharashtra and some southern states.

The makers have also introduced a new premium pricing category called “Super Blockbuster Plus Rates”. This decision is reportedly linked to the film’s large scale and long runtime.

Usually, big films apply “Blockbuster Rates” or “Super Blockbuster Rates”, which are about 10 to 25 percent higher than normal ticket prices. However, the new pricing model appears to be even higher in some cities.

For instance, the highest ticket price for Dhurandhar 2 has reached Rs 3,100 for premium recliner seats at INOX Megaplex in Borivali, Mumbai. In Delhi, luxury seats at PVR Select City Walk are priced at around Rs 2,400, while VIP tickets in Bengaluru can go up to Rs 2,000.

Even premium formats like IMAX and Dolby Cinema are priced between Rs 759 and over Rs 1,000 in many metro cities. On the other end, the lowest ticket prices start from Rs 50 to Rs 59 in some theatres in Chennai due to regional price caps.

Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film also features Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Sara Arjun in key roles.

Close behind Homebound are two other well-reviewed films. Sabar Bonda (Cactus Pears), directed by Rohan Parashuram Kanawade, and Jugnuma (The Fable) by Raam Reddy have received three nominations each.

Other films such as The Great Shamsuddin Family, Bison Kaalamaadan and the BAFTA-winning Manipuri film Boong have secured two nominations each. Their presence in the list highlights the growing recognition of regional cinema at national awards.

The Critics Choice Awards 2026 nominations also reflect the growing popularity of streaming content. Several web series have earned nominations in major categories.

In the Best Web Series category, titles like Paatal Lok Season 2, Black Warrant, Black, White & Gray – Love Kills, Perfect Family and The Ba**ds of Bollywood are competing for the top prize.

Many well-known actors have also been recognised for their performances in web shows. Jaideep Ahlawat has received a Best Actor nomination for Paatal Lok 2. At the same time, Manoj Bajpayee has been nominated for The Family Man 3.

In the Best Actress category, performers like Shabana Azmi, Surveen Chawla and Priyamani are among the nominees.

The documentary category also includes several interesting titles. Films such as I, Poppy, Marriage Cops and 1PB Mein Sufiyana Qalam (Music in a Village Named 1PB) highlight meaningful real-life stories.

Vijay Deverakonda complemented Rashmika Mandanna’s look with a coordinated traditional outfit.

He wore a deep blue silk dhoti-style bottom with a green kurta and an embroidered jacket. The jacket featured colourful motifs inspired by traditional Indian art. The earthy colours of both outfits created a balanced and harmonious look for the couple.

The Pradhanam and Mehendi celebration took place just one day before the couple’s wedding. Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda tied the knot on February 26 at the luxurious ITC Mementos Udaipur in Rajasthan.

Punjab Govt to Name Rajpura-Akkar Link Road After Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib: Gurmeet Singh Khudian

In a significant move to honour rich spiritual legacy, the Punjab Government would name a key 13.15-kilometer link road stretch in Patiala district after the Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.

This was announced by Punjab Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian, today at Punjab Vidhan Sabha in a reply to MLA Gurlal Singh Ghanaur.

S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian explained that the thoroughfare in question connects Rajpura to Sehra and further extends from Sehra to Akkar village, where historic Gurudwara Nimm Sahib is situated. He emphasised that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab government is committed to honouring the legacy of the 9th Guru Sahib, while informing that the final notification will be issued following completion of the administrative procedures.

“The formal naming will be executed immediately upon the receipt of formal resolutions from the concerned Gram Panchayats, followed by the official recommendation from the Deputy Commissioner, Patiala,” stated S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian.

The Agriculture Minister reiterated that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s unparalleled sacrifice for the protection of Dharam , humanity and freedom of faith continues to inspire generations.
