Indian Army asks Soldiers and officers to delete 89 apps.

Indian Army is mandated to safeguard National Interests from External Aggression and Internal Subversion. With approximately 1.4 million personnel, the Indian Army is the world’s largest ground force.

Few of them are Tiktok, Truecaller, Instagram, Facebook, WeChat, Hike, PUBG, Tinder etc. By July 15. The apps banned by the army are not limited to the 59 Chinese mobile applications banned by the government.

The Chinese apps earlier banned are Club Factory, SHAREit, Likee, Mi Video Call (Xiaomi), Weibo, Baidu and Bigo Live. They have been removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for India. China has strongly reacted to India’s move to ban 59 mobile applications last month, most of which are linked to China. The Indian government’s decision was based on security concerns.

The decision comes after an “exponential increase” in the number of cases being targeted by their intelligence agencies.

A tweet from news agency ANI includes a photograph of a page with the list of the apps, and the title, ‘Social Media Apps: Banned for Usage’. It quotes Army sources to say that the ban is to plug leakage of information.

US: Visaa would be refused, if students enrolled for online course.

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency said people could face deportation if they do not comply with the rules.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said in a press release on Monday that for the fall 2020 semester students attending schools operating entirely online may not take a full online course load and remain in the US.

As the world tackles the Covid-19 pandemic, surprisingly, around 91% of Indian students who had planned to study abroad still want to continue due to the safety measures being put in place.

Many universities are moving classes online due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It is not clear how many students will be affected.

Nonimmigrant F-1 and M-1 students attending schools operating entirely online may not take a full online course load and remain in the United States,” the ICE statement said.

According to the ICE, F-1 visas are issued to students pursuing academic coursework, while M-1 visas are for those pursuing “vocational coursework” while studying in the US.

After taking care of emergency measures, universities need to be making administrative and financial decisions over the next few weeks that depend on projections about what’s going to be happening three to six months from now. Economists call this “dynamic programming,” but that’s just a fancy name for thinking ahead. While there are many issues that require thinking ahead, here I’m going to focus specifically on issues involving international students, and the complications that arise due to international travel restrictions imposed indefinitely to counter the further spread of the coronavirus.

The number of Indian students in the US has increased by around 3 per cent over the previous year to 202,014, according to the 2019 Open Doors Report on International

At Leverage Edu, we are trying to ensure that we lead the way for the much-needed myth busting around international higher education and do what’s best,” says Akshay Chaturvedi, CEO of Leverage Edu, which provides mentoring and college admissions guidance to students and job seekers looking for higher education outside India.

World Health Organization Revises evidence for emergence of Airborne spread of COVID-19.

Worldwide, total 11.8 million confirmed cases and 6.42 million people recovered, 544 thousand people died due to COVID-19.

The World Health Organization on Tuesday acknowledged “evidence emerging” of the airborne spread of the novel coronavirus, after a group of scientists urged the global body to update its guidance on how the respiratory disease passes between people.

“We have been talking about the possibility of airborne transmission and aerosol transmission as one of the modes of transmission of COVID-19,” Maria Van Kerkhove, technical lead on the COVID-19 pandemic at the WHO, told a news briefing.

On Monday, an open letter to the medical community by 239 scientists published in the Clincal Infectious Diseases journal, urged the medical community, as well as national and international bodies to recognize the potential for airborne spread of covid-19.

Recent evidence suggests that aerosol transmission of Covid-19 may pose a higher risk than was earlier believed. Specialist caution that emerging evidence of transmission, especially from environments like those of meat processing plants, which have recently emerged as infection hotspots, suggests that aerosol transmission may be more common than we think.

Any change in the WHO’s assessment of possibility of transmission could affect its current advice on keeping 1-metre (3.3 feet) of physical distancing. Governments, which rely on the agency for guidance policy, may also have to adjust public health measures aimed at restrain the spread of the virus.

The well built evidence for airborne transmission of the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, is prior work suggesting that the related virus behind the 2003 SARS epidemic spread through airborne transmission. “There is every reason to expect that SARS-CoV-2 behaves similarly, and that transmission via airborne microdroplets is an important pathway,” according to the letter, published Monday in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases.

Diesel price in Delhi is currently revised daily.

Delhi continues to be the benchmark or an indicator of any increase or decrease in fuel prices in the country. With a population of more than 18 million, the Union territory is the second most populous city in India.

Prices of petrol and diesel are revised daily, aligned to market rates, which means diesel price in Delhi will increase every time global crude oil prices increase and rupee depreciates against the US dollar.

Todays diesel rates in New Delhi are very sensitive to global crude prices. We have been seeing an uptick in global crude prices, which has also pushed diesel rates in New Delhi higher.

The price of Diesel in Delhi is at Rs 80.78 per litre, today. Diesel continued to remain marginally costlier in Delhi compared to petrol.

Graph of Diesel price in the month of July

Before the nation entered the lockdown, the average price of petrol and diesel in Delhi was Rs 69.60 per litre and Rs 62.30 per litre respectively.

The change in the Diesel prices is an advantage for the consumer, as the customers keep an eye on the prices and can buy Diesel when the prices go down. As the change in the price will be very small, it may seem like that it will not make a difference, but in the long term, you will be in profit. Oil marketing companies in India such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum, etc. will fix the new price Diesel in India every day.

On June 7, state-run oil marketing companies Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum  – which account for the majority of petrol and diesel outlets in the country – restarted the normal system of daily price reviews in line with costs following an 82-day hiatus.

In view of the increase in Value-Added Tax (VAT) on diesel in Delhi, petrol pump owners in the national capital on Monday urged the Delhi government to reduce VAT on petroleum products citing lower rates in neighbouring states. The Delhi Petrol Dealers Association (DPDA), which has around 400 petrol pump owners as members, said in a statement that the increase in value-added tax (VAT) on diesel is resulting in heavy loss of sales at petrol pumps in Delhi.

Other metro cities also saw marginal rise prices. The city of Mumbai saw petrol costing 2 paise more at Rs 87.19 and diesel costing Rs 10 paise more at 79.05 per litre. In Chennai, petrol prices went up 4 paise and diesel 13 paise to Rs 83.63 and Rs 77.91 per litre, respectively. In Kolkata, petrol will cost you Rs 82.10 and diesel at Rs 75.79 per litre.
