The 50 Viral Video: A shocking clip from the show’s promo has gone viral on social media, leaving viewers angry. Even before its official premiere, the show is facing backlash over a violent fight between contestants Rajat Dalal and Digvijay Singh Rathee.

The 50 brings together 50 contestants inside a grand palace, where they compete in tasks, form alliances and deal with friendships, romance and rivalries. Much like Bigg Boss, conflict is a key part of the format. However, the latest promo suggests that the drama may have crossed a serious line.

In the viral video, Rajat Dalal is seen slapping Digvijay Singh Rathee and grabbing his neck during a heated argument, which has triggered widespread outrage online.

The 50 Viral Video: Rajat Dalal Grabs Digvijay Singh Rathee’s Neck

According to reports, tensions flared on the third day inside The 50 house. A promo shared by JioHotstar Reality on Instagram shows Digvijay confronting Rajat during a task. Digvijay questions Rajat’s behaviour and is heard saying, “Kal jab baaki log gaali de rahe the, tab tera muh khula nahi.”

Within moments, the argument turns physical. Rajat lunges at Digvijay, grabs his neck and pushes him aggressively. Other contestants quickly step in to separate the two and prevent the situation from getting worse. The disturbing visuals have left many viewers shocked.

The fight has also brought back memories of Rajat and Digvijay’s troubled past. The two were seen together on Bigg Boss 18, where their relationship shifted between friendship and rivalry. Their issues reportedly continued outside the show as well, including a public clash at a Delhi event in 2025. Although both had earlier claimed they had resolved their differences, the promo suggests old tensions remain unresolved.

Rajat Dalal had earlier exited The 50 due to an on-set injury. His dramatic return to the show appears to have added fuel to the tense atmosphere inside the house.

Rajat Trolled After Violent Promo Goes Viral

Soon after the clip surfaced online, social media platforms were flooded with angry reactions. Many users questioned why such behaviour was allowed on a reality show. Rajat Dalal faced heavy trolling, with several viewers demanding strict action against him.

Read some user comments below:

“Gunda rahega gunda.”

“Once a gunda always a gunda.”

“if he doesn’t have the temparement he should not come to any show.”

“Who supports this kind of man? He can’t control it at all. He shouldn’t have gone on any reality show.”

“Again proved he will always be a gunda.”

“Rajat has zero control on himself …..immature.”

“Gundo ko leker aaoge toh aise hi hoga.. Rajat hamesha gunda hi rahega.”

“Namard criminal ko nikalo.”

“He should be kicked out immediately.”

“That’s why education is very important.”

Despite the controversy, excitement around The 50 remains high. The show is set to premiere on February 1, 2026, on Colors TV and JioHotstar. It is described as a “brutal social experiment” led by a mysterious masked Game Master. Popular celebrities such as Karan Patel, Prince Narula, Manisha Rani, Shiv Thakare, Ridhi Dogra, Mr Faisu, Divya Agarwal, Nikki Tamboli and Urvashi Dholakia are part of the lineup.

Deepika Padukone: Is Saurabh Shukla Against Actress’ 8-Hour Shift Demand? Jolly LLB 3 Actor Says ‘Focus On Work…’

Saurabh Shukla on Deepika Padukone Demanding 8 hr shift

The debate around fixed working hours in the film industry has once again gained attention. This time, it brings together two different viewpoints from Deepika Padukone and veteran actor Saurabh Shukla. While Deepika had spoken strongly in favour of an eight-hour workday after motherhood, Shukla believes creative work cannot always follow strict time limits.

As discussions around mental health, burnout and work-life balance grow louder, the film industry is being pushed to question its long-standing work culture. However, opinions remain divided.

Deepika Padukone 8-Hour Shift Demand After Motherhood

Deepika Padukone’s request for an eight-hour workday has sparked widespread debate online. The actress stepped away from projects like Spirit and Kalki 2 due to her insistence on fixed working hours. Despite the criticism, she has stood by her decision.

In an old interview, Deepika talked to Harper’s Bazaar about how overworking has become normalised. She shared that her respect for her mother has grown after experiencing motherhood herself. According to her, planning work and parenting looks easy on paper, but the reality is very different.

She also stressed that new mothers need stronger support systems when they return to work. Deepika said this is an issue she wants to focus on going forward.

The actress further spoke about burnout, explaining how exhaustion is often mistaken for dedication. She pointed out that eight hours of work is enough for both the body and mind. Only a healthy person, she said, can truly give their best.

Deepika revealed that her own workplace follows an eight-hour workday from Monday to Friday. It also has maternity and paternity policies in place. She added that child-friendly workspaces, including allowing children at work, should be normalised.

Saurabh Shukla On Why Creativity Cannot Follow The Clock

Jolly LLB 3 actor Saurabh Shukla has now shared a different perspective on fixed working hours. While he did not completely oppose time limits, he made it clear that creativity cannot always be controlled by the clock.

Speaking to India Today, Shukla said, “If you’re in a flow, I really think that suddenly, if you’re going half an hour or one hour beyond your working hours, then you should not crib about it because, in bargaining, you’re getting much more, that continuity of thought and continuity of that flow.”

He explained that acting and filmmaking depend heavily on emotional rhythm and creative continuity. Stopping work just because the clock says so can sometimes break that flow.

Shukla added that time limits are important, but they should not become the main focus. He said, “It (time limit) should be there, but that is not the main thing. The main thing is the piece you’re creating. Rather than focusing on the watch, that, oh! It’s 6 or 8, and I have to go home, focus more on the work you’re doing.”

On the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in films like Singham Again, Kalki 2898 AD and Fighter. She now has Shah Rukh Khan starrer KING, which is set for a December 2026 release. Deepika is also working with Pushpa 2actor Allu Arjun in Atlee’s upcoming sci-fi film.

Budget 2026: Would India’s Salaried Class Finally Be Rewarded With Income Tax Relief After Endless Decades Of Being Ignored? Experts Weigh In

Budget 2026

Budget 2026: The nation is getting ready to witness the ninth-straight budget by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1, 2026.

Let us explore some possible tax structure changes and tax relief coming to the way of India’s salaried class.

Hike in Standard Deductions?

A significant majority of middle-class salaried employees is a considerable surge in the standard deduction structures. Presently, it stands at ₹75,000 under the new tax regime. This is expected to rise to ₹1, 25,000 to ₹2, 00,000. This would help the middle class cope well with inflation while increasing their personal disposable income.

It is also believed that the 30 percent tax rate after Budget 2026 may apply to only taxpayers with an income above ₹30 lakh instead of the present threshold of ₹15 lakh.

Is A Higher Income Tax Exemption Limit And TDS Threshold Increase Expected?

Saurabh Jain, Co-founder & CEO, Stable Money, commented that a higher income tax exemption limit or a tax deducted at source (TDS) threshold increase on interest income should be facilitated. Jain also remarked that Deposit insurance and credit guarantee corporation (DICGC) insurance cover that is applicable on fixed deposits should be increased. Presently, it stands at ₹5 lakh per depositor; it should be increased to at least ₹7-10 lakh per depositor.

The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has recommended that the income tax rate structures under the new tax regime should be increased. It proposed that the highest IT slab should be raised from ₹24 lakhs to ₹50 lakhs while tax rates should be reduced. This includes 20 percent on income up to Rs. 30 lakhs, 25 percent on income up to Rs. 50 lakhs and 30 percent on income beyond Rs. 50 lakhs.

Sunil Kumar Roy, Professor and Dean, School of Business, Manav Rachna University, remarked that India’s middle class is looking for enhanced simplification and greater clarity between the new and old tax regimes. Roy added that a much-needed and expected Section 80C limit revisions should be facilitated for improving disposable incomes and easing pressure on personal finances.

Stop To Aspiration Drain With Thoughtful Taxation

Rajeev Gupta, Executive Vice President & Business Head – Third Party Products, Religare Broking Ltd, remarked the Union Budget must address the “Aspiration Drain”. Gupta remarked a peak tax rate of 39-43 percent on the country’s highest earners (₹2 Cr) is unarguably an exit trigger and suggested that the effective tax rate must be capped at 30 percent.

A better peak tax rate of 20-25 percent would do a whole lot of good.

Tax Ease A Must

Smita Mazumdar, Program Director, PGDM, Great Lakes Gurgaon, remarked India cannot expect to promote Skill India and demand its youth to become creators of enough jobs while imposing a higher effective burden of tax than corporate tax.

Karthik Narayan, Vice President (Tax & Transition), Stellar Innovations, remarked the Union Finance Minister should facilitate the proposed addition of an innovative taxation band that features a tax of 25 percent on net income between ₹30 lakh and ₹50 lakh should be made for addressing tax imbalances. This proposed new income tax slab would be beneficial for providing the much-expected tax relief to middle-to-upper income earners.

All in all, the Budget 2026 may bring on better savings incentives, higher deductions, better tax slab relief and improved compliance.

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 57: Ranveer Singh’s spy action thriller Dhurandhar is now nearing the end of its theatrical run, but fans and trade experts are still keeping a close eye on its earnings. Released on December 5, 2025, the film quickly became a major success.

Even after weeks in cinemas and OTT release, Dhurandhar continues to earn small daily amounts while new films like Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3 take over screens.

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 57

From day one, Dhurandhar impressed audiences in India and overseas. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark in India, making it the highest‑grossing Hindi film domestically and one of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema. Globally, it has earned over Rs 1300 crore, joining a select group of Indian films to achieve such numbers.

On Day 57, the India net collection is estimated at Rs 0.5 cr. After 57 days, the total domestic net stands around Rs 836.65 cr.

Dhurandhar opened strongly, earning Rs 28 crore net on its first day. Positive word of mouth and patriotic action sequences helped it grow in the first two weeks. The film collected Rs 207.25 crore in Week 1 and added another Rs 253.25 crore in Week 2. Over the following weeks, collections naturally declined but remained impressive for a long-running release.

By the sixth week, weekly earnings dropped to Rs 26.35 crore, then Rs 13.9 crore in Week 7 and around Rs 6.10 crore in Week 8. Daily collections continued to fall as new releases arrived, but the film held strong screens for over eight weeks.

OTT Release And Impact Of Mardaani 3

Dhurandhar was also released on Netflix, giving viewers a chance to watch the film at home. Some viewers discussed minor edits and changes in runtime compared to the original cinema version, but the action and story remain intact.

At the same time, Mardaani 3 hit theatres, drawing audience attention and screen space away from older releases. With fresh competition, Dhurandhar is naturally concluding its theatrical journey. Despite this, its long run and record-breaking collections prove that the film has been a major box office success.

Even as the spy thriller exits cinemas, its Dhurandhar box office collection remains a milestone in Hindi cinema.

More Epstein Files Released: From Donald Trump Family To Bill Gates And Elon Musk; Will Political Futures Crash, Is Political Upheaval On Cards?

More Epstein Files Released

Epstein Files: The United States Department of Justice (DOJ) has released millions of new files related to Jeffrey Epstein, sharing 2,000 videos and 18,000 images publicly.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche remarked the latest release marks the end of a comprehensive document identification as well as review process that ensure transparency to compliance and Americans.

Big Names Exposed-Absolute Shocker

The latest Epstein files include big names such as US President Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump (Donald Trump’s daughter), Melania Trump (Donald Trump’s wife), Elon Musk, US commerce secretary Howard Lutnick, Former Prince Andrew and Kevin Warsh (the new Fed chair pick).

It also includes former President George W Bush, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Zohran Mamdani’s mother Mira Nair, Jay Z, Tufts alumnus Steve Tisch, Major League Baseball professional Sammy Sosa and American actor and comedian Jamie Foxx.

More Epstein Files Released-Prince Andrew?

The documents include emails between an individual named “The Duke” (possibly Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor) and Epstein.

Donald Trump

The newly-released file mentioned Donald Trump hundreds of times. A list compiled by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) included countless sexual abuse allegations  against the now US President and other high-profile figures.

Mother of NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani

A new set of Epstein files revealed that Mira Nair, the mother of NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani, attended an afterparty at the house of convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell for her movie “Amelia”.

More Epstein Files Released-Bill Gates Got STD?

The latest files also revealed that sleeping with Russian women was the reason behind Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, contracting a STD (sexually transmitted disease).

It was also revealed that Bill gave antibiotics to Melinda Gates, his then-wife, secretly. However, Bill has vehemently denied the allegations as completely false and absurd.

The newly-released documents revealed that Elon Musk asked about attending the “wildest party” of Jeffrey Epstein at his private island.

Kevin Warsh-The New Fed Pick

Kevin Warsh, the new Federal Reserve Chairman Pick, has also been named in the Epstein files. Kevin and Jane Lauder, his wife, appeared prominently in the social circle of Jeffrey Epstein. However, there is no evidence of Kevin visiting the island of Epstein.

George W Bush And Bill Clinton?

Former President George W Bush was also possibly named in the Epstein Files as someone who raped a male victim. Bush’s name appeared in a NYPD Detective Bureau Child Exploitation complaint by a purported victim of Epstein.

The files revealed that the victim was a witness to an event where babies were dismembered and their intestines were removed. It was also revealed that many people were eating the feces from the intestines. The same document also alleged rape by William J Clinton (Bill Clinton, the former US President).

Jay Z

The name of rap icon Jay Z also appeared in the Epstein files. Harvey Weinstein and Pusha T’s names appeared in FBI call records made public in 2019.

The names of MLB star Sammy Sosa, Ghislaine Maxwell and actor Jamie Foxx also featured in the files. However, no evidence of any wrongdoing was contained in the files.

A significant amount of the mentions in the recently released Epstein files came from second-hand or anonymous tips. Many allegations of trafficking, abuse or any criminal activity could not be proved.

Sunetra Pawar to Become Maharashtra Dy CM, Will she be able to fill Ajit Pawar’s Shoes? 5 Roadblocks Explained

Sunetra Pawar
Google

With indications that Sunetra Pawar could be appointed as Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, political circles are actively debating whether she can match the influence and administrative weight of Ajit Pawar, one of the state’s most seasoned power brokers.

While her entry signals continuity within the Pawar family’s political legacy, the transition comes with expectations that go beyond symbolism. Governance, coalition management, and public perception will play a decisive role in shaping her tenure.

1. Limited Administrative Experience

Unlike Ajit Pawar, who handled key portfolios and crisis situations for decades, Sunetra Pawar has had limited exposure to executive governance. Managing a complex state machinery will demand rapid adaptation and policy clarity.

2. Command Over Party Cadre

Ajit Pawar’s authority within the party structure was built through years of political battles and negotiations. Establishing similar command over legislators and grassroots workers remains a major test for Sunetra Pawar.

3. Coalition Pressures

Maharashtra’s coalition politics requires constant balancing. Navigating competing interests while maintaining alliance stability could be challenging for a new deputy chief minister stepping into a high-pressure role.

4. Public and Opposition Scrutiny

Sunetra Pawar’s appointment will attract intense scrutiny from the opposition, with critics questioning whether the move reflects merit or political inheritance. Managing public perception will be crucial.

5. Living Up to Ajit Pawar’s Political Legacy

Perhaps the toughest roadblock is comparison. Ajit Pawar’s reputation as a decisive administrator sets a high benchmark, making expectations exceptionally demanding from day one.

CJ Roy Suicide: Buyer Complaints, Income Tax Analysis and Mental Health Concerns Under Spotlight, Brother Alleges Harassment

CJ Roy Suicide
Google

CJ Roy Suicide: The sudden death of CJ Roy who owned Confident Group, has created shockwaves which extend throughout Bengaluru and the real estate industry. News reports indicate that he committed suicide inside his workplace, which creates doubts about what led to his fatal incident.

Buyer Complaints and Business Pressure

CJ Roy Suicide: Confident Group property buyers filed complaints about construction delays and project delivery issues because they needed more information about construction progress.   The businessman faced intense pressure because of these complaints. Real estate industry experts explain that running a large property business can be overwhelming, as financial problems and legal matters require resolution.

Income Tax Scrutiny

CJ Roy faced income tax investigations, which added stress because his businesses were also under scrutiny. Business owners experience extreme mental and emotional distress when their companies face allegations of financial misconduct or ongoing investigations.

Mental Health Concerns

The incident highlights a larger issue of mental health awareness in high-pressure industries like real estate. The absence of necessary mental health support systems leads to severe business impacts, as organizations face common operational difficulties. Mental health experts emphasize that entrepreneurs in high-pressure work need both stress-management techniques and counseling services.

Brother Alleges Harassment

CJ Roy’s brother has brought personal elements into the case by making harassment allegations, which suggest that external forces might have led to the tragic event. The ongoing investigations have been complicated by these allegations, which focus on the mental and emotional challenges that business owners experience.

Mardaani 3 Box Office Collection Day 1: Rani Mukerji Starrer Takes Disappointing Start Amid Competition With Border 2, NO Growth Since Mardaani 2

Mardaani 3 Box Office Collection Day 1 - Rani Mukerji

Mardaani 3 Box Office Collection Day 1: Rani Mukerji returned to theatres on Friday with Mardaani 3, the third film in her popular crime thriller franchise. The release is special for the actor, as it marks 30 years of her journey in Hindi cinema. Coming after the success of Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, which also earned her a National Award, expectations from the film were naturally high.

Once again, Rani reprises her role as Shivani Shivaji Roy, the fearless police officer. The film deals with themes of sexism and patriarchy through a fresh investigation. While critics have responded positively to her performance and the film’s intent, the audience turnout on the first day remained limited.

Mardaani 3 Box Office Collection Day 1

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Mardaani 3 box office collection day 1 stands at Rs 3.8 crore net. This opening is considered weak, especially since the film is reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 75 crore. Trade analysts were also surprised by the lack of growth compared to the previous instalment.

Mardaani 2 (which released in 2019) had also opened at Rs 3.8 crore. Despite a seven-year gap, Mardaani 3 has failed to show any improvement in its opening-day numbers. This indicates that the franchise has not expanded its initial audience base.

The film was released across nearly 2345 shows across India. It recorded an overall occupancy of 18.01 percent on Day 1. Morning shows opened slow at just 8.97 percent. Occupancy improved slightly in the afternoon at 14.78 percent and rose further to 17.13 percent in the evening. Night shows performed the best, ending the day with 31.14 percent occupancy.

In terms of regions, Delhi-NCR had the highest number of shows at 526, with an occupancy of 18.75 percent. Mumbai followed with 381 shows and reported better footfalls, registering 26.75 percent occupancy. These numbers suggest that while the film has visibility in metro cities, mass turnout is still missing.

Competition From Border 2 Affects Mardaani 3

Despite being backed by Yash Raj Films, Mardaani 3 has received a limited number of screens. One major reason is the strong hold of Border 2 at the box office. The Sunny Deol-led war drama is still running across nearly 5,000 screens nationwide and continues to attract audiences. On its eighth day, Border 2 collected around Rs 11 crore, far higher than Mardaani 3’s Day 1 numbers.

However, when compared to Rani Mukerji’s recent films, Mardaani 3 has performed better. Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway earned Rs 1.27 crore on its opening day, while Bunty Aur Babli 2 collected Rs 2.8 crore. Hichki had opened at Rs 3.3 crore, making Mardaani 3 a slightly stronger starter.

Among other female-led films, the results are mixed. Kareena Kapoor’s The Buckingham Murders earned Rs 1.15 crore on Day 1, and Yami Gautam’s Haq collected Rs 1.75 crore. However, Mardaani 3 trails Yami’s Article 370, which opened at Rs 5.9 crore, and Alia Bhatt starrer Jigra, which earned Rs 4.25 crore.

The weekend performance will now be crucial for Mardaani 3. With no major releases until Shahid Kapoor’s O Romeo arrives during the Valentine’s Day weekend, the film has a chance to improve its numbers if word of mouth turns stronger.

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 8: Sunny Deol Starrer Is No Dhurandhar! 68 Percent Fall Since Opening Day, Set To Cross THIS Mark – Check Figures!

Border 2 has completed eight days at the box office with strong overall numbers. However, its daily collections have started to slow down. The Sunny Deol-led war drama released last Friday and enjoyed a powerful first week, mainly due to the Republic Day holiday.

The film crossed the Rs 200 crore mark within days and emerged as one of the biggest openers of the year. Strong patriotic appeal and a long weekend helped boost its early performance.

However, once the holiday period ended, the pace dropped. The Friday release of Mardaani 3 added fresh competition, which further affected collections on Day 8. Even so, Border 2 remains a commercial success, though it is no longer as dominant as it looked during its opening days.

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 8

Border 2 opened well at the box office, collecting Rs 30 crore on Day 1. Positive word of mouth helped the film grow over the weekend. On Sunday, it earned Rs 54.5 crore.

The biggest jump came on Monday, thanks to the Republic Day holiday. On Day 4, the film collected an impressive Rs 59 crore. This helped push the total well past the Rs 200 crore mark.

As expected, collections dipped after the holiday. On Tuesday, Day 5, the film earned Rs 20 crore. The drop continued on Day 6, with collections falling to Rs 11.25 crore. There was a small recovery on Thursday, Day 7, when the film collected Rs 13 crore.

On Friday, Day 8, early estimates suggest that Border 2 collected around Rs 11 crore. This reflects a sharp 68 percent fall compared to its opening day. The decline also points to growing competition, especially from Mardaani 3, which released on the same day.

Despite the drop, the film has avoided a complete crash. Collections have stabilised after several dips, even though the pace is much slower now. Trade observers believe Border 2 lacks the long-term hold seen with Dhurandhar, which sustained strong numbers and broke major records.

After eight days, the Border 2 box office collection stands at approximately Rs 235.25 crore net in India. With the weekend ahead, the film is expected to see some growth. It is likely to cross the Rs 250 crore net mark domestically, further confirming its hit status.

Sunny Deol headlines the cast, along with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty. Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Anya Singh play key supporting roles.

Released on January 23, Border 2 has a runtime of 3 hours and 19 minutes and holds a UA certificate. After its theatrical run, the film is expected to stream on Netflix by late March or early April 2026.

Globally, Border 2 has already crossed the Rs 300 crore mark within its first week.

The Kerala Story 2: ‘Propaganda Movie To Destroy…’ Netizens Call Out Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Sequel, Predict Another FLOP After The Bengal Files

The Kerala Story 2 Teaser Reactions

The Kerala Story 2 teaser has triggered a strong reaction on social media. Released yesterday (January 30), the 126-second video quickly grabbed attention and began trending online. However, the response has been sharply divided.

While some viewers described the teaser as intense and truth-driven, many others criticised it heavily. Several netizens accused the makers of pushing a political narrative. Others claimed the film spreads misinformation and targets a specific community.

The timing of the teaser has also raised eyebrows. Many users pointed out that the release comes close to upcoming elections. According to critics, the sequel once again portrays Kerala in a negative light using exaggerated claims. Some users also accused the teaser of promoting Islamophobia, reviving controversies linked to the first film.

Despite the criticism, The Kerala Story franchise saw major box-office success in the past. The original film performed exceptionally well. However, viewers are unsure if the sequel can repeat that success. Many believe it could end up like Vivek Agnihotri‘s The Bengal Files, which failed to connect with audiences.

The Kerala Story 2 Faces ‘Propaganda’ Backlash Online

Online reactions suggest that scepticism is stronger than curiosity. Many users questioned the intent behind the sequel. They also wondered whether the film handles sensitive issues responsibly or simply aims to provoke controversy.

Several netizens openly dismissed the teaser, while a few expressed cautious hope. Here are some reactions shared online:

“Teaser looks intense. Hoping it’s less exaggerated this time.”
“Propaganda part 2.”
“Propaganda movie to destroy the fabric of India! Only anti-nationals can believe such propaganda.”
“Ye nahi chalegi bhai.”
“Shame on you.”
“One more propaganda movie. Expected, with Bengal elections in April.”
“Just before the Kerala state election.”
“Jaise Bengal files ne 5 cr kamaae the vaise ye movie bhi itne h kamaaengi…”
“Real name should be HATE STORY.”

These comments reflect how polarised public opinion remains. While some viewers want to wait for the full film, others have already written it off.

What The Teaser Reveals

The teaser introduces three new female leads played by Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia and Aishwarya Ojha. Their characters come from different parts of India and share stories of alleged religious conversion through what the film calls “love traps.”

Unlike the first instalment, which focused only on Kerala, the sequel expands its setting to Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The teaser introduces Surekha Nair, an aspiring IAS officer from Kerala, Neha Sant, a javelin thrower from Madhya Pradesh and Divya Paliwal, a social media influencer from Rajasthan.

Each character narrates how relationships with men named Salim, Faizan, and Rasheed allegedly led to marriage, conversion, and the destruction of their personal ambitions.

A major shift in The Kerala Story 2 is its focus on resistance. The women are shown removing their head coverings and raising their voices with the slogan, “Ab Sahenge Nahi… Ladenge.” They also WARN about what the film claims is a larger plan to change India’s demography by stating, “If not now, then never”.

Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on February 27, 2026. Mannan Shaah has composed the music, with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir.

Under Bhagwant Mann Govt’s ‘Mission Rozgar’, so far 63,943 govt jobs provided without bribery or favouritism

Punjab News

Distributing appointment letters to 916 young men and women from various departments in Mohali on Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said the exercise reflected the AAP government’s commitment to delivering government jobs without bribery or favouritism, under its flagship ‘Mission Rozgar’.

Noting that 63,943 youths have already been given government jobs purely on merit, the Chief Minister asserted that the process of handing over appointment letters would continue in the coming days, contrasting it with previous governments where jobs were decided by recommendation and bribes rather than capability.

Sharing a few snippets from the event on X, CM Bhagwant Singh stated: “Today in Mohali, appointment letters were distributed to 916 young men and women from various departments. They were extended best wishes to serve Punjab and its people with complete dedication and integrity. So far, 63,943 youths have been provided government jobs without bribery or recommendation. In the coming days as well, the process of handing over appointment letters to the youth under ‘Mission Rozgar’ will continue uninterrupted.”

Addressing the gathering at Vikas Bhawan while distributing appointment letters to newly recruited youth, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that for decades, the rightful opportunities of the state’s young men and women were cornered by relatives and close associates of those in power, leaving merit sidelined and aspirations crushed. “Earlier, the rights of Punjab’s youth were grabbed by the near and dear ones of those in power. The legendary martyrs like Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh and others must be deeply hurt that even after more than 70 years of Independence, their dreams were not fulfilled. This is a major embarrassment for all of us,” he said.

The Chief Minister asserted that ever since assuming office, his government has been making sustained efforts to realise the dreams of the country’s great national heroes. “Previous governments looted the money meant for education and even jobs. Our government has opened the doors of government jobs for the youth,” the Chief Minister said, adding that 63,943 youths have been provided government jobs in the last four years.

Calling the day a landmark moment for the newly appointed candidates, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Today is a red-letter day for these youth who have received jobs in various departments. The Punjab government has crossed the figure of providing more than 63,000 government jobs in a completely transparent manner.” In contrast, he said, the Union government was offering schemes with conditions that were of little use to the common man.

Highlighting the state’s welfare initiatives, the Chief Minister asserted the Punjab government has launched the ‘Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna’, the state’s largest health reform programme. “Every family will now get up to ₹10 lakh of cashless treatment. Earlier this limit was ₹5 lakh, which has now been doubled. Around 65 lakh families will benefit from this scheme aimed at the welfare of every section of society,” he said.

He further said that the state government has closed 19 toll plazas in Punjab, saving ₹64 lakh every day from the pockets of the common people. “To ensure accessible healthcare, 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics have been opened across the state, providing free treatment and medicines. Since July 2022, 90 percent of households are getting free electricity, yet the opposition remains busy finding faults instead of acknowledging this work,” CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said.

The Chief Minister said Punjab has inherited a rich legacy from great sports persons, generals, philanthropists and others who served the nation with their sweat and blood. “Our government is leaving no stone unturned for the welfare of every section of society through pro-people and development-oriented measures. Unemployment is the root cause of several social problems, and that is why we are focusing on eradicating it,” he said.

Reiterating the government’s commitment to transparent recruitment, Bhagwant Singh Mann said all vacant posts are filled promptly through a foolproof mechanism. “Not even a single appointment out of these nearly 64,000 jobs has been challenged in any court. It is a proud moment for the Punjab government that all these jobs have been given purely on the basis of merit,” he said.

Describing the occasion as momentous, the Chief Minister said the newly appointed youth are now part of the Punjab government family. “For the first time in the history of the state, a government has given a record number of more than 63,000 jobs in just four years. All appointments have been made on merit, without corruption or nepotism. We are determined to fulfil the dreams of our freedom fighters and make Punjab a progressive state,” he said.

He said that health, education, power, water, infrastructure and law and order are the top priorities of his government. “We are ensuring holistic development of the state and its people. I urge the youth to discharge their duties with utmost professional commitment and use their pen wisely in the service of the people,” CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said.

Meanwhile, sharing their experiences, newly appointed Dr Pooja from Roopnagar said it was a great opportunity for her to become part of the state government. Jasanpreet Kaur from Mukatsar Sahib thanked the Chief Minister for the recruitment drive, saying the government has provided genuine opportunities for youth to prove themselves.

Dr Damanpreet Kaur from Amritsar said the entire credit for the free and fair recruitment process goes to the state government. “For the first time, promises made to the people have been fulfilled. The recruitment was conducted purely on merit, giving deserving youth a fair chance,” she said.

Veterinary Officer Dr Kamalpreet Singh from Moga said the government is bridging the gap between the Animal Husbandry Department and farmers. “I got this job purely on merit through a transparent process. Only hard work has paid off,” he said. Cooperative Inspector Jaspreet Kaur said she secured her second government job without any bribe or recommendation and promised to perform her duties with full dedication.

Dr Mukesh said this was his third government job and cited the transparency of the process, adding that he never even checked his email after the examination. “My mother died due to lack of proper treatment. I dedicate this job to her and to the service of the people of Punjab,” he said. Staff Nurse Tamana from Amritsar said the appointment was a dream come true for her and her family, lauding the government for a free and fair recruitment process.

On the occasion, Cabinet Ministers Dr Balbir Singh, Gurmeet Singh Khudian and others were present.

The Art of Living Kicks off Its 45th Year Celebrations with Grand Somnath

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Against the backdrop of temple bells, waves lashing at the shore and powerful and meditative Vedic chants by priests from the prestigious 12 Jyotirlinga Temples, Panch Bhoota, Amarnath and Pashupatinath Temples, the temple town came alive on Friday evening as The Art of Living inaugurated its 45th year with the grand Somnath Jyotirlinga Maha Rudra Puja in the presence of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Lakhs of devotees gathered in deep reverence, as the coastal town transformed into a powerful space for collective prayer, devotion, and spiritual awakening

Rudrabhishekam is an ancient Vedic ceremony whee Lord Shiva is worshipped in the most benevolent form of Lord Rudra, and the worship is said to bestow the devotee with health, happiness, prosperity and wish fulfilment. The ritual’s sacred bathing of the holy Lingam with milk, ghee, honey, water, among others. and continuous chanting are believed to purify mind and environment, remove obstacles and negativity.

Gurudev brought together eminent pandits from all twelve Jyotirlinga temples, Amarnath and Pashupatinath Temples who blessed the elaborate ceremony, as sacred waters or Teertham carried ceremonially from each of these revered shrines were offered during the puja, symbolising the spiritual unity of India.

Adding further depth to the occasion, sanctified water from the Pancha Bhoota Sthalas of Tamil Nadu, representing the five elements of nature, was also offered during the special Rudra Abhishekam. The convergence of these sacred streams reflected the harmony between nature, devotion, and Vedic wisdom.

“This Maharudra Pooja will be remembered for generations — for the divine arrangement and spiritual magnitude created here by Gurudev,” shared Pandit Ramanand Dubey from Kashi Vishwanath, Varanasi, “It truly feels as though all twelve Jyotirlingas are present in one place.” One of the most moving moments of the evening was the collective recitation of the revered Kolaru Pathigam, composed by Saint Thirugnana Sambandar, one of the foremost Shaivite Nayannar saints of the 7th century, by nearly two crore devotees across more than 180 countries. From temples, homes, and community centres around the world, voices of devotion rose in unison, creating a powerful global wave of prayer for peace and harmony transcending geographical boundaries.

The Maha Rudra Puja also marked the formal inauguration of The Art of Living’s 45th anniversary celebrations. Over the past four and a half decades, the organisation has reached millions through meditation, stress management programmes, humanitarian relief, education, environmental initiatives, and peace-building efforts. The Rameshwaram event stood as a tribute to this sustained journey of service and inner transformation.

Health authorities in West Bengal have confirmed two cases of Nipah virus, a rare but serious infection known for causing severe respiratory and neurological symptoms. Immediate tracing and testing of 196 contacts revealed no positive cases, according to local officials.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has reassured the public, stating that the risk of widespread transmission is minimal. Authorities emphasise that early detection and timely medical intervention are key to managing the infection effectively.

Early Symptoms to Watch

Nipah virus symptoms typically appear within 5–14 days of exposure. Experts advise monitoring for:

  • Fever and severe headache
  • Drowsiness or unusual confusion
  • Cough and breathing difficulties
  • Neurological complications, including seizures in severe cases

People experiencing these symptoms, particularly after contact with suspected cases or potentially infected animals, should seek immediate medical care.

Transmission and Precautionary Measures

The virus primarily spreads through direct contact with infected animals, such as fruit bats or pigs, or their secretions. Human-to-human transmission is rare but possible in close-contact environments.

Health officials recommend:

  • Avoiding raw date palm sap or potentially contaminated fruits
  • Practising strict hand hygiene
  • Using masks or protective gear when caring for the sick

WHO Guidance

WHO emphasises that localised outbreaks can be controlled effectively through rapid isolation, monitoring, and contact tracing. The organisation encourages continued vigilance but notes that large-scale spread is highly unlikely.
